Robinson to play WR at Senior Bowl

Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage says he is ''comparable to Antwaan Randle El'' in athleticism, ball skills and speed. Randle El was an Indiana quarterback who went on to play receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins.

I'd give the edge in speed to Robinson. "Ball skills" (whatever that is) - I'd give the edge to Randle El. Athleticism - meh.. I'd probably give that edge to Robinson.

Randel el wasn't a tap out bitch at Indiana tho. Just sayin.

Ha! That's about the best way of saying it. Robinson is going to get hit twice and be out for 2 games. I hope he gets drafted and put into the game in the 3rd quarter in his first or second preseason game, and tries to catch a pass going over the middle.

I agree with everything here--Robinson is faster and probably better at making guys miss once he has the ball (although probably not by much--Randle El was a heck of an athlete in his prime), but Randle El is definitely a better all around athlete (heck, he played basketball and baseball at Indiana too), which is critical if you want to play WR in the NFL.

Bottom line is that best case scenario you get Robinson the ball on some end-arounds. Then again, once he hits hit by an NFL LB or DE, all bets are off. If he's on an active roster in the NFL midway through 2014, I'll be shocked.

I saw a movie or tv show once where there was a big pile up on a football field and when they untangled everyone the ball carrier had vanished.

I think it would be something like that.
