How sad is it that it takes this kind of a tragedy for the media to stop talking about politics every 5 minutes?

UPDATE:

Warner Bros. is cancelling some of their premiers across the country and around the world....

(On the record, of course this is tragic and awful. I just didn't figure it was worth cluttering up the internet with another platitude when I could clutter it up with something far less tasteful.)

I am a Colorado native and follow a lot of the local sports personalities. @jessicaredfield is one of them that I follow. She died last night in the shooting... It was chilling when I opened my twitter and saw her post "The movie doesn't start for 20 minutes."

I'm still not sure if I know any of the victims personally yet, people are just now getting their day started out west..... Not that it would happen, I wish the media would choose not to say the name or show the picture of this killer.

I am also hearing now that the police are looking for the boyfriend of one of the victims, this guy is reportedly out hunting for the shooters family with the intent of killing them.

In addition to WB's issued statement, The Hollywood Reporter has learned that plans for a red carpet premiere of "The Dark Knight Rises" scheduled to take place in Paris tonight has been canceled in lieu of the shocking tragedy in Colorado. Media interviews with Nolan and the film's cast have also been canceled.
