Dish network and Gameplan

Hello all, I just moved back to the states from Puerto Rico and I now live in Tennessee and I just recently hooked up my Dish Network. I have the DVR and I was wanting some pros and cons with the ESPN Gameplan for Buckeye games. I was just curious how easy or hard it was to hook up with Gameplan and are there ever any times where you couldn't get Buckeye games? Any help would be appreciated.

If you believe that the Buckeyes are a "hot" team this year, than you got to think that most, if not all their games will get picked up by various networks.
I think as long as we keep winning, ESPN and the networks will fight to have us on.
But, Notre Dame is a factor in coverage also.
If they keep winning and it comes down to OSU and ND for coverage.
You can guess who the networks will want to cover, and it ain't us!
I live in New Mexico and can get a lot of Buckeye games by picking up the East coast ABC feed!
Between the East coast ABC feed and ESPN I see a lot of Buckeye games.

I switched to cable last year, but prior to that had dish with gameplan. If I remember correctly, the Bucks were on all of the time. Granted i'm in Ohio so my memory may be fuzzy, but Im willing to bet that there will be no problems. Also, depending on your reception the games should be really, really clear. When the games werent blacked out (generally the ESPN plus games) I would always watch them on gp reather than my basic cable feed.

Was it just last year guys were complaining that Gameplan actually switched off of Buckeye games? :(

I'm not sure about switching off games (I think this was regular tv), but I know I complained alot because they blacked out games that were not on regular television. Their coverage map stated the game was on regular tv, but it was not. Therefore it was blacked out on Gameplan, and not on regular tv. Twice they screwed up in my area. I was pretty pissed.

If I remember correctly from the last couple seasons, all of OSU games, at least here in the Columbus and surrounding area, were all televised. They were either on ABC, or one of the ESPN affilliate stations (excluding Gameplan). I thought that ND had a contract with NBC to televise their games. That being said I wouldn't think there would be any conflict but then again you never know. I can't remember missing any OSU game on TV the last 3 seasons.

This is the only drawback with Gameplan and it happens when the local ABC station decides that it's going to override the national ABC feed. In the Pittsburgh region it's because WTAE decides they're going to show some shitty Big East matchup such as Rutgers vs. Temple even though the coverage map says Iowa vs. OSU. Two years ago they showed a REPLAY of the Penn State/Temple game from 12:00 at 3:30 instead of OSU/NC State. When this has happened, I've been shit out of luck and forced to keep along here and on 1460's feed.
