Get off my lawn, you hooligans!
My neighbor's damn yippymutt is barking its fool head off right now, and has been for 2 hours straight... you'd think it would be losing its voice by now. So much for sleeping before school tomorrow.

Am I the only one here seriously opposed to people in apartments owning dogs? I can understand if it's a small breed, and you're capable of training it properly. But some of the dogs I've seen in this complex: german shepherd, 100 lb. fuzzy 'whatzit'... even a great dane. Dogs need companionship, and space to run... they don't need to be cooped up by themselves inside a 600 sq. ft apartment with nothing to do but piss off the neighbors.

Reason #231 to hate m*ch*g*n: Hippie-bitch across the hall.

I agree with you when you state that people shouldn't have big dogs in 600 sq. ft. apts. I have a townhouse currently, and have a mini dachsund, which is plenty of room for him. Some people in my complex own labs, and other big dogs. I'm not really for that.

I also am annoyed by dogs that bark all day long. We have these two dogs in my complex that bark for hours at a time. That is just a shitty job of training on the part of their owners. I can say that when my dog barks he gets corrected, unless it's one of those times where someone is at the door or something like that.

dog breeds have specific characteristics... some are incessant barkers and some need lots of companionship and some need space and exercise...

the disappointing thing is that some folks don't do their homework to select a breed that matches their lifestyle... it's not the dog.. it's the owners...

VPR... write down this website and slide it under their door or leave it in their mailbox.. http://www.tritronics.ca/barklimiter.US.htm

it's what many of the finest breeders use... and breeders care about their animals

You think you have it bad our neighbors have not 1 not 2 but 3 thats right 3 fucking little toilet swab looking bark factories. Not helping the fact that her fat ass friend is always over there with her 2 dogs also. You can only imagine what the grass looks like in front of our apartments.

I have a small apartment and have a fox terrier, she doesnt bark very often at all. She just gets excited and jumps and runs all over the place when someone new comes over.

Whats funny is My apartment complex backs up to a housing complex I will be on a hill no where near these peoples back yards and their dogs will be right up against the fence going crazy. One day this 400 lb woman comes out and says can you walk your dog somewhere else. I told he to fuck off and went on My way

Dogs are so cute and cuddley wuddley. You horrible people should learn to be more tollerant of peoples lifestyles. I think you're all racists. If your neighbor owned two or three black slaves I doubt you would be complaining

Our neighbor has a German shepherd that barked all the time. I'm pleased to be able to use the past tense, however I did not send that canine Nazi to doggie-hell.

I'm bit biased here, since I have a big dog in an apartment (although it's 1200 sq ft -- plenty of room), but I'm all for having dogs in apartments under certain conditions. First of all, you have to have adequate room for the pooch. Second of all, you have to be a responsible dog owner -- train it correctly, pick up after it, and be considerate of your neighbor's privacy/space (which includes training your dog not to bark incessantly). If you do have a small apartment, you need to understand that the dog needs to get plenty of exercise. Take it to the park, run it around, let it swim, if it's a water dog. Our apartment complex allows big dogs, but so many dog owners shouldn't even have dogs. I'm tired of stepping in dog shit, which is my biggest complaint. And some of the dogs are just downright nasty with humans and/or other dogs. The other night, my dog was attacked by our neighbor's German shepherd, whose owner insisted that the dog was friendly (yeah right). Some breeds make better apartment dogs than others, so people should do their homework before getting one, period.
