dropped 3rd strike call in Angels vs. Sox

XC, it's a good thing barlow1802 can recognize a knowledgeable "liscensed" umpire when he sees one.

On a side note, how was your rookie year?
Hey buddy! The season was good. It was really hot, but I learned a lot and had a blast. I'm ready to move up to a better league next year though. I moved to Columbus last month and I've been umpiring some of the scarlet and grey world series games at Bill Davis Stadium this week. That's been cool. How are things treating you?

Everything is great here. The S & G World Series sounds like a lot of fun! When do you find out your assignment for next year?

On the original topic, I think Eddings not only got the uncaught third strike call right, but he was also right in not making any other signals. It is the players' responsibility to know the situation. As mentioned earlier, the only thing that can be questioned is his lack of verbalizing "no catch" if in fact he had verbalized it previously.

As always, thanks for your professional insight to these tough situations that the broadcasters seem to muff.
