Schools were hot after Drue Chrisman to come do their punting and maybe other kicking duties. BYU, Florida State, Indiana, Kentucky, UCLA as well as the Buckeyes made offers of scholarship. The heavy interest by soi many schools garnered him an Army All-American nod. The Cincinnati LaSalle two time state champion has good size, 6′-2″ 198 pounds and has a cannon for a leg.
I have witnessed his booting prowess first hand as I had his team in the OHSAA playoffs two years ago in the first round and could hear his leg hit the football from 50 yards down field as the back judge. He was recruited by Kerry Coombs and committed last May and took his official visit in December after the playoffs.
