SUWANEE, Ga. ? The stress had begun to weigh heavily on Cameron Heyward's broad shoulders the past few weeks.
Wednesday's announcement that he has chosen Ohio State over Georgia, Florida and LSU brought some needed relief for the Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge High School defensive tackle's frayed nerves.

OSU adds recruit Heyward

Ohio State received an oral commitment on Wednesday from Georgia's Cameron Heyward, the son of the late Craig "Ironhead" Heyward, the former NFL running back.
Heyward became the 15th member of Ohio State's recruiting class and filled a need at defensive tackle, where the Buckeyes had lost out on top prospects Joseph Barksdale and Devon Still. Heyward is ranked as the No. 11 defensive tackle in the country by recruiting service rivals.com....

Ohio State lost out to Florida in last month?s national championship game, but it was the Buckeyes who came away the winner in the Cameron Heyward sweepstakes.
The 6-foot-6, 282-pound Peachtree Ridge defensive tackle announced this afternoon that he plans top attend Ohio State, and play both football and basketball for the Big Ten school.
It?s a big blow for Georgia, one of four finalists for the son of late NFL star Craig ?Ironhead? Heyward. In the past several weeks, Georgia has missed out on AJC player of the year Eric Berry of Creekside (Tennessee recruit) and Darien McIntosh County Academy defensive end Allen Bailey (down to Alabama, Florida, Miami)....

Which is a coincidence, because the UGA, UF, and LSU staffs probably all seem to be suffering from it after Cam's announcement yesterday!!

Got to love high quality kids....and such a great mom he must have!!
