When I lived in Chicago 35 years ago, (Yikes) I played in a little four team intramural soccer league. We had a guy on our team visiting from Germany named Freder and he was three levels above anyone else on the field. He could, and did, dribble from one end to the other untouched. He almost never took a shot on goal, preferring to pass it off to other players who were more likely to shank the ball twenty yards out of bounds than score. Humble, kind, sweet spirited and yet fierce competitor. Best kind of teammate to have.

Watching that profile on Hero reminded of Freder. Looks like the Bucks have another top tier human being on their roster.

p.s. Freder always wore these weird looking leather sandals with a molded cork footbed. I’ve never been without at least one pair of Birks ever since.
