Duke vs. Virginia Tech

Dook - VaTech ending...

Did anyone else see that?! Holy shit!

I still hate Dook. They're gonna replay that shot the rest of the damn season.

Looks good for the Bucks - beating the team that just took the no.1 team to the wire on thier home court.

they got .6 put back on the clock and I don't know that it really mattered beacuse there was at least .6 left when it left Dockery's hand. a legit win for Duke and an unreal finish to a great game...

When I watched the replay, there was .5 left on the clock when the ball left his hand.

After Tech made their tip-in, the clock stopped at 1 second flat. The officials added. .6 second after compulsory replay review.

Let the conspiracy theories fly...

No matter what you say about that though, it was one hell of a shot.

Seth Greenburg had his kids playing tough all night...they never gave up, much like when they got down big in the 1st half to OSU. They are a team on the rise in the ACC.

I watched this game and even though im not a Duke fan, I have to say that it was horribly officiated. If anything you would think Duke wouldve got home-court advantage, but that didnt happen. There were atleast 2-3 times when Duke tried to pass the ball and the other team slightly kicked it out of bounds, but they gave Va Tech the ball. JJ Redick got planted by this one Va Tech player and it was a dirty play, so he got up and started jawing and they both got slapped with a T, which gave him is 3rd foul with 8 minutes left in the 1st half.

I have to disagree a little bit on this...Duke gets more touch foul calls at home than any team in America. Reddick is one of the few players who can dictate the pace at which the officials blow the whistle by his level of acting. Coach K specifically asks the crew chief each night to watch for the holds on Reddick around the screens and to watch for contact when Sheldon has his back to the basket, and they get a ton of calls because of this. I think Duke got a ton of calls in the first half that were questionable. Look at the FT attempts by game...

Duke 26 Boston U 4
Duke 19 Seton Hall 18
Duke 17 Davidson 11
Duke 28 Drexel 14
Duke 25 Memphis 13
Duke 14 Indiana 13 (at Assembly Hall)
Duke 21 Virginia Tech 12

TOTALS:

Duke 150 Opponents 85

I can't stand either of these teams, at all. Since I live in the VT area, all you hear is "Yeah VT's going all the way this year." (For football) Then they face a decent team, and they get on their knees, and get raped. Their was this hilarious article on VT saying that "The VT basketball loss hurt a lot because their 'football brothers' lost the ACC Championship." Then last night on PTI, Michael Wilbon said that VT was one of the most underachieving teams in college sports. Oh, God, it's good to be a Buckeye.

:oh: :io:
