Dwan Mathis (QB Temple Owls)

Staff member @ Bucknuts. He has sources. Well, his sources have sources.
From my understanding, he was a guy who pretty blatantly shared insider information on twitter for awhile (he still does, to a certain extent), and then for some unknown reason Bucknuts decided to bring him on their staff (actually, given what I think about Bucknuts, it’s actually pretty funny/appropriate they would do that).

He’s a good agglomerator of information who doesn’t actually have much info of his own (as Dryden said)... kinda like TeddyHeisman/Andrew Ellis only with the Bucknuts over reaction drama queen twist.

This year is strange. A long time commit all the sudden possibly flips to Georgia when he's from the north in the 11th hour while we possibly pick up a transfer QB from Georgia? I mean most of us would probably be ok with the swap if that's what happens. But I would have expected Mathis to go somewhere else than Georgia if he thought we recruited/transfered over him.

Please note - I'm sensitive to the nature of this boards and how recruiting is treated (correctly so) as a celebration.

I'm not "dunking" on anyone or posting anything spiteful - I just share odd news as it relates to mutual targets.

You’re good man. No one doubts your intentions. We do not want to lose Mathis. Regardless of what happens with Justin Fields, this is an important recruitment for our depth at the QB position. We will be very thin without him.

FWIW Birm is saying this hold up isn’t focused on Fields. Might be Gawja’s last minute push?

edit: he also makes various other (valid IMHO) points that Fields would be gone by the time Mathis is ready to lead the team
