Penn State and Miami are pathetic opponents? I'd hate to see a schedule that was worthy of you.

week 1: @ Alabama
week 2: @ USC
week 3: Oregon
week 4: @ TCU
week 5: Indiana
week 6: Michigan State
week 7: Wisconsin
week 8: Time warp Penn State from 1986
week 9: time warp 2001 Miami into the shoe
week 10: 2005 Texas
week 11: 1995 Nebraska
week 12: Michigan

There you go....that'll probably do it for him :p

Asshole Alert

The boysee president responds. Seriously, whether Gee's comments were ill advised or not, someone should tell this lightweight to not poke sticks at bears. It usually results in getting your fucking head bit off. Hmmm, who am I going to take in this one. A) One of the most influential and respected university presidents in America who has turned down the President job at schools (Cal, UNC) that wouldn't hire the Boise prez to park cars or B) A former Illinois Lt. Governor who washed up running a truck driving school in Boise, fucking Idaho.

I love Gordon Gee, but this is what he should have said....

Here's my thoughts on Boise State and TCU...[censored] 'em. Seriously [censored] THEM. Our only mistake was setting up this compromised, half-assed BCS system. It let these worthless little [censored]bags get a smell of the meat, and now they're demanding the right to sit at the head of the table and carve the god damned turkey. [censored] them.

Here's my proposal. Boise, TCU and all the rest of these [censored]box little community colleges can band together---and take the [censored]ing Big East with you---and set up your beloved playoff. Have the [censored] at it. In the meantime, the Big Ten, the Pac 10, the SEC, Big 12 and ACC will go back to our old bowl system and let the AP and Coaches polls crown our national championship on January 2nd.

Now we'll see who turns the television sets on. You or us? Now, we'll see who gets the sponsorship dollars. You or us? Now, we'll see where the blue chip athletes choose to play. You or us?

Got it, Boise? Oh yeah, go [censored] yourselves.
That's the response he should have given.

^^
This is the correct answer.

http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/schools/florida-state/1981-schedule.html

joking aside, thats how the noles put themselves on the map... they had some "good" teams in the late 70s and early 80s, then in 1981 their schedule looked like this...

@ 17 nebraska L
@ 7 ohio state W
@notre dame W
@ 3 pitt L
@ LSU
then they went on to play miami fl, #14 southern miss, @ florida

they ended the year 6-5 and unranked, but with respect and it put them on the national map with some punctuation.

they also played in columbus, and won in 82.

The dumbass name-dropped Florida too. Nothing like bringing more heavyweights into the fight.

TCU's president had it right when he basically said, "we just worry about ourselves."

3. Boise and TCU have made several overt attempts to schedule schools like Ohio State that wouldn't schedule them in a million years.

for the last time

NOBODY is scared to play fucking Boise State

NOBODY wants to travel to bumfuck Idaho to lose money playing in a 33,000 seat stadium

why the hell would Ohio State play Boise State when they can play Texas/USC/Miami/Va Tech/OU/Tennesseee....etc?

To settle the arguement for once and for all I suggest that Michigan play Boise, That oughta fix em.

I made one post at their site. It read as follows:

Boise is 8-10 versus BCS schools since 2000, 104-7 versus non-BCS schools during that time.

That was my post in its entirety. Apparently, they find facts about them distasteful. I was banned.

4. Instead, schools like Ohio State schedule 3-4 nonconference creampuffs a year, play a conference schedule that usually includes 3-4 more creampuffs in the conference. Overall, they usually have about 8 home games and never against any non-major conference school that could actually give them a scare.

Boise State year after year plays

Idaho
San Jose State
Utah State
New Mexico State
Louisiana Tech

Indiana.....a perennial big 10 cellar dweller......would more than likely beat any of these teams in almost any given year

trying to compare cream-puff WAC teams to the bottom of the Big 10 is a stupid argument

I also love how some people like to make it out how Boise plays some juggernaut OOC schedule

2009-
Oregon
Miami Ohio
Bowling Green
UC Davis (1-AA)

2008-
Idaho State (1-AA)
Bowling Green
Oregon
Southern Mississippi

2007-
Weber State (1-AA)
Washington (Loss, Washington went 4-9)
Wyoming
Southern Mississippi

2006-
Cal State Sacramento (1-AA)
Oregon State
Wyoming
Utah

2005-
Georgia (loss)
Oregon State (loss)
Bowling Green
Portland State (1-AA)

how are Boise's OOC schedules any different from any "major" programs? in most cases they play 1 BCS OOC opponent....and then 3 non AQ teams (in Boise's case a 1-AA team is included a lot of the time)

Indeed Boise tries to schedule the OOC games like they are a big boy, play in a crap conference that makes the big east look good, and then the claim people are scared to to play them when they won't bow to their ridiculous demands.
