ECU jumped out 14-0 when, apparently, it turned into a touch football game. Two of the lamest personal foul calls ever - one on a failed 4th down attempt - helped Tulsa get down the field and get back in the game.

The players didn't make the rules, they just won the game they were told to play. According to the rules, ECU is worthy.

It's just like when conference tourneys send teams to the NCAAs in hoops. Bad rules, but the kids earn the victory.
