quinerly chooses between arizona and villanova tonight. arizona is the overwhelming favorite. if he shuns villanova, then weaver is expected to be their primary target.
Starting the first weekend of September, Weaver has four consecutive weekends of official visits. He’ll start with USC the weekend of September 2nd. He’ll then see Ohio State the weekend of the 9th, Florida the weekend of the 16th and Oklahoma State the weekend of the 23rd.
“I’m down to those four, but I’m still talking to Memphis, Illinois and NC State to try and decide if I want to take my fifth official visit to one of those schools,” Weaver told Scout.
...
Ohio State: “They were making me a big priority when they were at Butler. I was their first offer when they moved to a new school, so that showed a lot. It really showed me how much they were interested. That’s what I’m looking for, what coach is going to be a man of their word, per se. They told me they were going to be at every game this summer and they were. They just want to put the ball in my hands.”
...
In terms of making his choice, Weaver is potentially looking at his birthday, which is December 30th, but doesn't have anything set in stone.

the good: four visits scheduled; one more possible; villanova nowhere to be found.
the not-so-good: possibly a 12/30 commitment.
Four-star guard Elijah Weaver breaks down four official visits
At or near the top of that list for 2018 is Elijah Weaver, a four-star point guard out of Oldsmar (Florida) Christian School who, according to his coach, didn’t have to wait long for a phone call from Holtmann after he was hired. Along with a handful of prospects from Ohio who got offers on the same day, Weaver was an immediate priority.
“He was the first person that they offered when switching (schools), so that just showed all of us how serious they are about him,” coach John Bianchi told The Dispatch. “Those guys are amazing, especially coach (Mike) Schrage. We talk pretty much every day, but the relationship started when they were at Butler.”
...
“Our relationship is great,” Weaver said of the Ohio State coaches. “Coach Holtmann and coach Schrage text and call if not every day, every other day, and I think that’s what made me decide to do an official (visit). They seem to be very serious in the plan they have for me and I’m just anxious to get on campus and see how I feel there, which will ultimately be the deciding factor in the whole recruiting process — where I feel at home.”

it helps our cause that devoe appears to be a florida lean. in regards to weaver's possible commitment in late december, i will be a little surprised if he waits that long.I would think either us or Florida and wishing the Buckeyes. The only problem is his commitment date unless he believes in silent verbals.
the only reason that I mentioned Florida and Ohio State is that we seem to be the only 2 constants in his lists. Makes me wonder what happened to Oregonit helps our cause that devoe appears to be a florida lean. in regards to weaver's possible commitment in late december, i will be a little surprised if he waits that long.
oh, no, i certainly agree with you that florida appears to be the primary competition for weaver. like tht committing to msu to increase our chances with henry, i just hope that devoe commits to florida to increase our chances with weaver.the only reason that I mentioned Florida and Ohio State is that we seem to be the only 2 constants in his lists.
