ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Flipped on Mike and Mike this morning in the car to maybe catch some college football talk.

Instead I got them ranting about how college football overtime sucks because it's not real football because you only have to drive 25 yards.

I guess a score after a long kick return doesn't count because it's not real football without a long drive?
Poor poor Golic.

It's an old Green Beret saying, usually attributed to President Richard Nixon or his henchman Charles Coulson. Which brings us to the consideration of the change of tone at ESPiN.

What lessons did we learn on Saturday? Louisville's Lamar Jackson captured the nation's imagination, Alabama ended its Ole Miss nightmare and Big Ten teams continue to distinguish themselves. (link)

Though Alabama doesn't seem ready to loosen its grip on No. 1, it might be hard to argue that the SEC is still the best league. In fact, that distinction might belong to -- gasp! -- the Big Ten, which figures to have at least three teams ranked in the top 10 when new polls are released Sunday. (link)

Looking down the barrel of losing 10 million subscribers (and more than $1 billion in revenues) in just three years and likely to fall below breakeven by 2021 according to some analysts (link), ESPiN is looking more and more like a squirrel unable to find its nuts.

It's funny b/c that 2pt decision was one of the few instances of a solid choice.
On the road, win vs. overtime, and you have an uneven matchup of Crabtree vs. Undrafted Rookie after the starter got injured. Throw in the NFL's silly flip-a-coin for FG overtime rules...

Laughing at Greenie going off about the runner dropping the ball as he crosses the goal line in the Cal vs. Texas game. No mention of the dropped ball on the kickoff return in our game.....
Talked to my neighbor... I brought this up.. he thought I was talking about the Cal Tejas game.. I said no it was in our game.
