Come up with a generic complaint that is about ESPN and does not address a specific sponsor. Then copy and paste it into each of the forms. Not signing it would be a good idea, so that they cannot compare the sources of these complaints.

College Gameday sponsored by Home Depot & Weber

Other college football ESPN sponsors:

Cooper Tire
ValvolineHalftime Report
Verizon

Cingular Wireless is on there too (for player of teh week), but I couldn't find a good contact form.

Happy complaining!

Just a suggestion, if you can find the number of Alumnus OSU has and share that number with these sponsors I think that might have some effect. Especially since this is about football it's about sullying the name of tOSU.

Wrote to all sponsors but ADT.

Copied ESPN Senior VP on my e-mails to their sponsors. Let'm know that myself and many of the alum were contacting the sponsors and eliminating our services and relationships with espn. Wrote a little explanation. Asked that it was forward to the correct area.

I'm still pissed. Not enough. I want to hit somebody

My response back from Cooper Tire

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on Cooper Tire's

advertising campaign and our sponsorship of college football on ESPN. Our

objective for the campaign is to build brand awareness for the Cooper brand

of tires and differentiate ourselves from the other 90 brands in the

marketplace. We use college athletics as a means of reaching that

objective, because we believe strongly in the spirit, dedication, hard-work

and enthusiasm that college student athletes bring to the field each week.

ESPN is considered a sports authority and THE place sports fans go for

sports. It is the fans we are most interested in, not the viewpoints of

ESPN's editorial or news staff. Our relationship with ESPN has spanned

several years and we are proud to be a part of bringing college sports into

homes across America. We might suggest that you share your comments with

ESPN

directly, if you have not already done so, allowing ESPN to get a better

understanding

of your thoughts and concerns.

We appreciate your comments and will take note of them in our future

planning.

Thanks again.

Didn't relize that ESPN is THE place sports fans go and is the autority.

Guess I don't buy those Cooper tires.

Yeah, particularly those fans who will shell out a few bucks for a new set of tires. But we're not concerned with our partner's ethics, or the lack therof- as long as we make money on those tires.

Well, they've certainly accomplished their objective of differentiating their brand name from the other 90 tire brand names. They've firmly established themselves as THE ONLY tire manufacturing company that is implictly bankrolling the defamation of one of my favorite institutions. I will keep that in mind in my future planning.

Home Depot reply. Looks like it's a canned response to everyone.
Dear Donn,

Thank you for contacting The Home Depot and sharing your concerns. We sincerely appreciate hearing from all of our customers.

As far as our sponsorship policy is concerned, for competitive business reasons The Home Depot sponsors programs that are most popular with the viewing public. We work hard to avoid programs that are inconsistent with our values, but as you probably know, it is impossible to preview content of any program prior to its broadcast.

The Home Depot is committed to building stronger communities. We are proud of our long tradition of supporting organizations working in the areas of affordable housing, disaster preparedness, at-risk youth and the environment. Over the last 12 years, The Home Depot has contributed nearly $200 million and tens of millions of volunteer hours to worthwhile causes.

We hope this answers your concerns. Thank you, again, for sharing your comments. We appreciate hearing from all of our customers.

Sincerely,

Clay
