Ex-LSU QB Ryan Perrilloux (official thread)

Jackson State pursuing former LSU quarterback Perrilloux

JACKSON, Miss. -- Count Jackson State in on the Ryan Perrilloux sweepstakes.

Coach Rick Comegy said he is attempting to lure the dismissed LSU quarterback to campus for a visit in hopes of signing the troubled player. Perrilloux could play right away if he decides to transfer to a Football Championship Subdivision team.

"We want to be in the ballpark like everyone else who's recruiting him and see what the situation is and try to see if he fits our program and those type of things," Comegy said. "We just don't want to have to play against him."

Troubled LSU QB Perrilloux transfers to Jacksonville State

Troubled ex-LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux may have found a place where he can get the playing time he craves.
Perrilloux has transferred to Jacksonville State, where he will have the inside track for the starting quarterback job next season.
Perrilloux was dismissed from LSU earlier this month after repeated off-the-field problems. The Gamecocks do not have a scholarship quarterback on their roster and since Perrilloux is transferring to a Football Championship Subdivision team, he won't have to sit out next season.
He has two years of eligibility remaining.

so it must be true then. i heard a rumor that he is going to app state.

i cant wait to see this come back and haunt LSU. they should be careful what they wish for. next year THEY will be the ones with the entire country laughing at them and end up on the wrong end of the "Pontiac Game Changing Performace" of the year. (and because of this i will never EVER buy a pontiac or gm product)
Good grief, you are incredibly dim. Appy St. already has a pretty damn good QB. I'm sure you haven't forgotten about him already. And what exactly are they wishing for? Are you saying they shouldn't have kicked him off the team? God, your posts make my head hurt.

If he lights it up (pun intended) in I-AA, he still could be a relatively high (pun intended) draft pick...

I think your blunt assessment is accurate. If he still has problems, the NFL guys will weed things out and get the straight dope on him.

Your joint assessment is spot-on, albeit a tad high-minded. In spite of his lack of post-season experience he can point to many, many bowl performances.

Any scout will tell you that his ability is not all smoke and mirrors. And rumors that he'd been envenomated have been put to rest; as his agent explained that the reports of "cottonmouth" were not snake related.

No-one ever doubted that Ryan was a crack QB and a heady player. Look for Coke endorsements if he ends up going pro.

Must every thread that mentions pot turn into a pun contest? Seriously, it's becoming a chronic problem.
