I'm in trouble...not a good draft. I just did the math, and it looks like my starters are only averaging 73.31 points per game. Not good.

Of course, with Tiki Barber, anything is possible. If E. Manning improves, and with Marvin Harrison at one WR spot, I should be good, considering I can pick any one of Stallworth, Galloway, McCardell, and Porter for the other spots. Bye weeks are gonna kill me, though.

My first draft of the year. I am disappointed in myself. Didn't seem like I did well enough for my own standards. I blame playing poker at the same time and doing well. But of course the poker tournament outlasted the draft but I busted shortly after the draft on the money bubble... freaking AQ!!!

I would say BN had the best draft but he was stupid and didn't pick the consensous #1 guy just because he went to Penn State. Such a loser eh?

I have to say that I am pretty happy how mine turned out despite not being there until the 15th round...no marquee WRs or QBs but loaded with runners including two guys I had high on the draft board (McGahee and Jackson) and the K and DEF I really wanted. My starters only project to around 70 points, but the same was true of my team last year. The two biggest things that concern me are:

1. Week 7 - Horn, Jackson, Heap, Davis, Givens and Baltimore are all off.
2. Does anyone really feel comfortable uttering the words "As Aaron Brooks goes, so goes my fantasy team?"

what was he last year?

I believe he had first pick last year also.

I'm not to worried about my team. By yahoo's points projection I'm predicted to put up around 84 points. But I believe that D.Jackson will improve a lot this year and a few of my players have the potential to put up big games.

As far as bye weeks go I spent the later part of the draft making sure those spots would be filled and I would be starting a full team every week.

Also some of the guys I picked up have the potential to be upgraded to startes as the season goes on.

I was pretty happy...lost out on Kevin Jones by one pick so my 3rd back ended up being Martin, who may not play, but other than that, all 7 receivers I got are the #1 guys on their teams, I think, and if Warner throws for a bunch of yards in a lot of losing efforts, I'll be OK. I think Atlanta's D will be pretty good too.

After the draft, I felt I was 1 RB away from having a very strong team. I'm hoping Bell or Barber can be that guy.

Peyton, Parker, Brown, Chris Chambers, Rod Smith, __RB__, Tony Gonzalez, Mike Nugent & Chicago.

Peyton will miss Edge, but if we can get to the semis & finals, Cinci & Houston will treat him very nicely.

Parker will carry the load next year.
Brown should be solid, possibly better if ends up a Jet.
Barber is my favorite dallas RB, and Jones has durability issues.
Mike Bell was a stud at UA, and could be the next sleeper RB from denver.

Chambers is very productive, but will be huge with Daunte.
Smith should be a solid veteran.
Burleson should do better in the Seattle offense.
Randle-El... will he breakout when defenses can't double anyone consistently?
A bit of homerism when picking Holmes on pure potential.

Nuge will look more like himself this year, after a steady but not great 05 campaign.

Piney, Maroney was very impressive tonight... albeit against Atlanta, but he looked even better than in college (especially strengthwise).

Jerious Norwood has been absolutely dymanite against NE tonight. I know it's preseason, but he's been getting high praise in camp as well. He reminds me a lot of dunn plus top-end speed.

After kicking myself early in the draft for ignoring RBs, I'm beginning to feel good about my sleeper crew of RBs (Barber, Bell & Norwood).
