Fantasy Football Advice

I was doing it before, and still no one wanted...even tried to do it with someone who's #1 RB was Green-Ellis...I was giving him Forte, some WR, and a TE...and I wanted i think it was Mike Wallace and Michael Bush (forte's backup).

his response was..my RB's have panned out like I wanted too...DA FUK?!?!

Wow I didn't know that was the trade. Or perhaps I overlooked the specifics... Umm. I wouldn't feel to good about that. RGIII has been a
fantasy sensation. Pretty sure the #1 overall fantasy QB..? Your WR situation aside - Stafford is made of glass. If he goes out they'll lean
heavily on Mikel.

Charles is hit or miss. He's such a viable option in the receiving game though that his value is through the roof.

oh i forgot to mention Brees is my starting qb so thats the only reason i parted with rgIII

Yeah, this is my only money league, so I'm trying to finalize my team by making this trade. I've worked some trades around, and I've got a pretty stellar team, minus my RB situation which will be straight NASTY if I get Charles.

QB's: Romo, Cutler (not the best two, but serviceable)
RB's: Matthews, Mendenhall, Stewart
WR's: Megatron, Dez, Harvin, Boldin, Amendola, Lafell, Little, Blackmon (I stocked up for trade bait, as you can see)
TE's: Mercedes Lewis, Heath Miller (FA pick up, was so stoked to see him on the wire!)
D/ST: Packers
K: Bironas

yeah getting charles would be a huge addition for you.

heres my $$ roster after my recent trade

qb - brees, flacco
rb - foster, gore, mcgahee
wr - steve smith, ant brown, garcon, sidney rice, jerome simpson, james jones, andre roberts
te - gronkowski, daniels
k - zeuerlien? (rams kicker)
def - chicago, atlanta

thanks. I won the league last year (my 2nd title, 10 team league been going on for 7 years now) and this was our transition year into a keeper league. I brought back brees, foster and gronk from last year. Then as mentioned I just made that trade to try and shore up my wr corps

Should I give up one of my top RB's (Ray Rice or MJD) for Tom Brady or Peyton Manning?

I currently have Schaub as my QB

Peyton Manning? No. Sure he has a favorable division schedule, but I just wouldn't give up Rice. Now if he'd accept MJD for either, that'd be a good deal in my, IMO

straight up? or should I throw in something else

You could trade straight up, or trade your back up QB and MJD for Peyton/Brady and someone else to make it as even a trade as possible. IMO, MJD for Manning straight up would be a good deal. I don't see him budging on Brady.

Giving up MJD to move up from Shaub to Manning is...not
A good idea. Keep in mind Shaub's scoring. He was out-doing
Brees until his 50 point outburst this week.

Giving up a top flight RB for a few point increase at QB is
Not what you call progression.

Yeah, I'd offer MJD up. Sure he's going to put up yards, but with the schedule they have, it's going to be tough for him to stay healthy.

You simply don't trade Ray Rice.

Also, I probably just jinxed my own team by saying this, but MJD is a workhorse. Played all 16 games last season and has only failed to appear in three games since 2006. He doesn't seem any more likely to get hurt than anybody else.

My main concern about MJD is the fact that the JAX pass offense sucks so bad, it allows opponents to key on the run. He blocks and catches passes though, so he still gets touches on third downs and when they are losing.

The only way I'd trade MJD is if I were so stacked that I didn't even have room for him at the flex. If that's the case then your entire league is just a formality and congratulations on your upcoming championship.
