Fantasy Football Advice

so I'm 1-5 in this league and just got this proposal. I'm leaning towards taking it just because I want to shake up the team a bit. It's not the worst offer in the world.

I get:

Darren Sproles
Andrew Hankins
Eli Manning
Vernon Davis

I send:

Frank Gore
Scott Chandler
Andy Daulton
Greg Jennings

My biggest hesitation is sending Jennings. If he ever gets healthy, he can still be a big player.

basic scoring league? Jennings has played like crap all year and has a hammy injury.. the only one I see on your list i wouldn't like to give up is Gore..

Manning > > > > Daulton
Jennings > Hawkins (barely at this point)
Gore > Sproles (depends on your league.. mine Sproles is stud ave about 20 points a game)
Davis > > > > > > > > Chandler

I don't think i've ever had a fantasy season like this one, where it seems half my players are injured

Yea me too, I've had 4 players lost for the season. Fortunately I've been very active on the waiver wire and made good pickups that I traded into my needs.

The injuries put me at 3-4 now, but I think I have a very good team moving forward. I picked up Maclin, Julio, dez, and lesean McCoy in the last 2-3 weeks (all have had slow starts). Oh I landed Bowe before Brady became his Qb, that one will likely flop. I gave up jamaal Charles, leshore, Torrey smith, and Andre Johnson for them in separate trades. And I picked up mendenhall off the waiver wire, lol.

wait when you say picked up, i hope you don't mean on the waiver wire..cause if you were able to get players like Maclin and Julio on the wavier...I really want to play with the guys you're playing with

WR- Pick 3 of 4 :

Julio Jones, Roddy White, Brandon Marshall, James Jones

PPR league

Marshall for sure at home to Chicago. Julio Jones & Roddy White sounds like a nightmare situation having both WR's on the same team & the fact they both haven't caught a TD in the same game all season. I'd wait to see on Jordy Nelson's health situation going into Sunday's game against the Jags before deciding. With Jennings out & potentially Nelson being out as well, I'd probably play him over one of the Falcons duo if Jordy doesn't play.

Here's an odd stat for you in regards to White & Jones. Roddy has only scored TD's on the even numbered weeks, while Julio has only scored TD's on the odd numbered weeks. This is week eight, so it looks like Roddy is due...

Out of these three I need a RB and a flex: Jennings vs GB, Ballard vs Ten, and James Jones vs Jax. Now I might have to pick up a TE too if Graham doesn't play, if I do that I'd have to drop one of the three, who would you choose for that?

Donald Brown has practiced fully the past two days, so it seems likely that he will play this Sunday despite being listed as questionable. That will eat into Ballard's production if he is healthy enough to play & the fact the Colts don't run the ball that much, he would be the only one out of the three worth dropping. MJD looks out for a few weeks, so Jennings is a must play despite being on an awful team, because he is also a great pass catcher out of the backfield. Greg Jennings is out for at least three weeks & with Jordy Nelson getting hurt in practice & questionable for Sunday's game, James Jones is worth playing even with Nelson suits up because he's had six touchdowns in the last four games.

All that being said, Jennings & Jones are must keeps & definitely the two I would play this week. Donald Brown sounds likely to return from injury, so he will eat into Ballard's production & since the Colts don't run the ball that much, he would be the one to drop for a TE if you ABSOLUTELY have to drop one of those three.

I got Maclin and Julio through trades.
I traded Leshore for Maclin to a guy that is very thin at RB and only had backups starting this week.
Jamaal Charles and Torrey Smith to the guy in last place for Julio and LeSean McCoy. (Can't believe that trade went through, but hey, he's desperate and both my guys had more points than his).

I'm on the fence with Julio Jones and Maclin starting this week. The weather is going to be awful in Phillie with Sandy's rain starting tomorrow and gusty winds. I'm monitoring that weather carefully. I'll play Julio as long as it looks like their throwing the ball - a slick field usually helps the receivers more than DBs.

They're currently calling for 90% rain tomorrow and 18-25 MPH winds.

My other options are:
Bowe vs Oak
Britt vs Indy (likely playing him in front of Maclin).

Speaking of my 12 team league stupidity, last week I picked up Rashard off the waiver wire when a guy dropped him for Dwyer and this week I picked up Johnathan Stewart. I was 1 waiver wire spot from landing Houston's defense when a guy dropped him for the bye.

My team is stacked now and poised for a playoff run.

After a 2 week dip. I'm back to form.

Started Trent even though he was shaky. 20 points.
Started Chris Givens off the waiver. 26 points.
Oakland's defense against KC ... Currently 42 points
Bowe. Felix Jones. Brandon Marshall. All at 10 points.

At 134 points. I've still got Drew Brees tonight.

6-2 after tonight.

What scoring system do you possibly use to get 26 points from Givens??
