Favorite Airport Domestic or International?

Surprised O'Hare isn't mentioned as everyone's fav

Lemme count the number of times I almost died landing there
I can count the number of times I departed on time .. on my elbow

Lawton OK is special... one hallway... take the left door (gate 1)... or right door (gate 2)
Here's what the car rental area looked like

If you didn't call beforehand, no one would be there

Punta Cana (PUJ) was cute:

The local airline staff at the gates are clueless, but getting through customs was a breeze and the whole thatched-roof look makes you feel like you've arrived someplace tropical.

That place cracks me up each time we land their for our winter getaway.

We need to schedule an annual BP Punta Cana winter getaway.

I'd love to but the wife wants to go to the Mayan Riviera this year. I've argued why leave a good thing as we've gone there three years in a row and I'd go back in a heartbeat. It's like I'm talking to a wall.

Favorite hands down is Cape Town. Haven't flown down there in several years, but as recently as half a dozen years ago, it was still like something out of the early 60's jet age, where they'd still roll the staircases out to the tarmac to load and unload jumbo jets. Great BA lounge. At least the first couple of times, the Table Mountain flyby on your way in is pretty spectacular.

The AA Arrivals lounge and AA Flagship/BA First lounges make LHR actually enjoyable, not to mention really good duty free shopping.

If I never have to fly through Miami again that will be too soon.

Those days are long gone, ORD. The airport was modernized in the late 1990s and again in 2010.

Barcelona has a pretty cool airport. Inside the terminals they have a pretty good sized mall with places to go walk around while you're waiting. It also has a lot of natural lighting and isn't depressing like a lot of airports can be.

International: Providenciales, Turks and Caicos is nice, as is Amsterdam Schipol. Dublin is a pain to get around.

I'm OK with the United gates at O'Hare and Newark, probably since those are my two home airports. Tortas Frontera is awesome in Chicago, even though Bayless is a TSUN grad. IAH has some good food (Urban Crave, Cat Cora) if you need to kill time.

SFO United terminals have a loooong walk. Cincinnati looks like it's out of 1978.

San Antonio is easy to navigate with some decent food options. Unfortunately, they close early and can get hectic if the AIT kids from Fort Sam are on leave.

Miami sucks, especially walking five miles for a rental.

Charlotte and Seattle are very solid to navigate and grab a local bite.
