@fanaticbuckeye great pic.. but it reminds me when I stood there... despite a superlative picture like this... one has to physically stand there and see this site in person to grasp it's awesomeness and enormity; this is about as superb shot as I've seen
Thanks man. And you aren’t lying. The wife and I were talking about that exact point. We knew it was going to be cool and worth the experience. But it blew us away. We were in awe just standing there.

Bryce/Zion > Grand Canyon (at least during a quick stop, I think being in it would be another story)

These are not my shots (I haven't been back since becoming a photographer)

I travel a lot (for work). Usually the people I'm with want to go see touristy sites... I can't stand touristy stuff, so I go off on my own and try and take pictures (mostly) that you won't find on a postcard or on the net on everybody's facebook or instagram or whatever...

Some of the stuff is kinda cliche - I like alleyways and doors and windows. I like natural light and shadows. I also like sharp contrasts in shapes and themes and symbols. And, of course, there are always funny signs and hatchet-to-the-forehead kinds of images that catch my eye.

Here's a picture I took at the Suzhou Museum (famous because of architect I M Pei).

Here's another hilarious (to me) picture of a couple older Chinese women taking selfies at the Great Wall, while some little boy fiddles with a thousands-year-old doorstop!

Some more of the shots while I was at the Grand Canyon

This one I wish I would have taken multiple exposures of to get a better picture of the tree, I took as I was sitting there not really thinking about the shot it could become, but this sky was ridiculously cool to see the transition...

Then finally another panorama I took. I love these panorama shots. I have one more I am working on too, but I love the sun setting, the clouds in the sky, and colors on the rocks...
