Thought you dug honesty? :tongue2: Next time I'll say..Einstein and Ursula LeGuin. Opps! That was only two! Abe Lincoln, Groucho and Naomi Klien.

Smart ass. Honesty is still part of a theoretical discussion.

Jesus, Buddha, Mohammad, Abraham, and a gun dealer.

You know a gun dealer? :wink2:

The others don't fit the specified criteria. He asked for people of special, personal, connection with you.

That goes for you too, Tao.

I'd like to meet a guy who thinks Taos's jokes are funny, that would be pretty cool, doubt it will happen when I am alive, but there's a chance in the afterlife some guy will go "Toasman? That dude cracks me up"

:p

Your under the assumption that I'm trying to be funny.
Hmmm. Maybe I should start a blog? :tongue2:

Of the people that have passed away.

1. My Dad's mom. She passed away when he was 3.
2. My Uncle Billy. He passed away from injuries in Vietnam.
3. My Grandfather on my mom's side.
4 & 5. My great grandparents on either side of the family.

1-Both sets of grandparents, but especially my mom's father, I was only 7 when he died, so I never really got to know him
2-My mom's brother
3-Fr. Chuck Mentrup-I never met him but numerous friends of his/mine have said we would have been great friends if we had met/hung out

After putting a lot of thought into this I've come up with the five I expect to see and the five I'd like to see.

Expected:
1. My maternal Grandfather. He was the reason I joined the military. He was a WWII vet and served the better part of my life as my father figure due to my father bailing on us.

2. My second grade teacher, Mrs. Carfagno. She was very stern with me becuase she saw I was able to do the work in class as well as anybody, I just chose not to.

3. My football Coach, Doug Stanley. He had to bench me for my final game as a senior for grades and alcohol abuse. He hated doing it, but he had to and he hoped I would learn a valuable lesson from that mistake.

4. My daughter, Megan.

5. My senior drill instructor, SSGT Abate. A molder of men and damn good one. He took a long haired beach bum and made me a Marine. Talked me out of quitting twice when bad news from home came in the mail. Angered me enough to reach a primal strength I didn't know I had when I needed it most.

Hope to see:

1. My daughter Megan
2. My Grandfather
3. General Omar Bradley. I got the family lineage but never got a chance to meet him
4. Mahlon Spencer. I close friend of mine growing up. He had a seizure while fishing about 15 years ago and drowned. I haven't seen him since Jr. High
5. My Nephew Ricky. At three years old, he was run over by a mailman when he slipped on the wet grass and fell under the truck. His obsession with trucks did him in.
