2024 FL (OH) DL Elias Rudolph (ttun decommit, Miami, FL Verbal)

Feels like a classic “Michigan sells Ohio kid on being disrespected by Ohio State so he commits to Michigan” situation to me.

Given that Ellis previously felt Pitt and Cinci were in the lead, it also feels like Michigan recently decided to go all in. May that be a sign that they’re missing out on their previously higher prioritized targets, whoever they may have been.

Bingo on the scUM selling point.
But very interesting on scUM going so hard after an undersized DL, and essentially a kid who has the body of a S, but who’s position is more of an OLB in a 3-4 scheme. He will get absolutely blown up on the DL, unless he puts on about 40-50lbs. So he will need at least 2yrs of sitting before he sees the field. And the clock is ticking once he hits campus and his frustration with not seeing the field

Would TTUN even be pushing hard for him if he was from Illinois or Indiana? Or is this all because he's from Ohio?
Yes, Rudolph is talented. But he needs work, and needs to find the right system.
But I’m sure there’s alittle extra effort to try and stick to OSU to get an OH kid in their minds

He just seems really boom or bust to me. He's the kind of prospect that a program on Ohio State's level, or aspiring to be on Ohio State's level, adds in November because they missed out on their top targets.

This. They will take this as some major victory. But considering we currently are favorites to land Houston, Lightfoot and maybe Stewart as well, I don't really consider this to be a "miss". If we land 2 of those 3 we come out well on top still.

If OSU were to take a tall, lanky DE, IMO it would be Booker Pickett Jr. and not Rudolph. Nothing against the kid personally, as I know some of Rudolph's family(mom and sister) very well. But he wasn't a kid OSU takes this early in the summer.
