FL RB Jordan Lyle (Miami, FL Signee)

Zero clucking reasons why OSU shouldn't be leading the NIL game.

Unfortunately we continue to have children run our collectives. :smash:
I think it’s been touched on many times before but these southern schools and their boosters are more than willing to spend money on these “kids”. And I highlight “kids” because while immensely talented and filled with potential, they are teenagers who haven’t accomplished anything on the professional or amateur level. I’m sorry but I agree with our NIL approach: you get a NICE bag once you perform on field. I can’t wait until there are more clear rules because giving a mil plus to a HS kid to just get him on campus is just ridiculous to me.

While I tend to agree with you as to how to deploy funds, I feel that OSU continues to partially embrace the New World Order.

I'm not suggesting that we follow the ATM / Miami model. Just accept the new reality and go out and WIN .....

This is what I think too.

I think I’m being misunderstood.

I’m not saying stop recruiting the kids. I’m saying if you aren’t going to match offers for a kid then don’t.

I agree going the Miami route would be terrible. However eventually we’ll need to pay up for a player or two that we need. Can’t keep missing guys (especially on the DL).
