The understanding is that McNutt’s suspension could now be two games. More penalties could be coming but the Cleveland Shaker Heights standout said he’s not going to stop playing in 7on7 tournaments.

Last week, OHSAA executive director Doug Ute told Rivals national recruiting analyst Greg Smith that there are discussions to possibly change the rule barring 7on7 play for Ohio athletes.

"Yeah, oh, absolutely, 100 percent,” Ute told Smith. "The one thing I would tell you that there's really no movement on is if schools or coaches want spring football here in Ohio. That's not an option. But what a student-athlete does in the offseason that our other sports can do is certainly something we need to really continue the discussions and make some movement to allow our kids those opportunities in the offseason.

"We have to follow our regulations, which we're following. But that's not to say that something couldn't be done in the future."

That’s all McNutt, rated as the third-best safety in the country, is asking for.

The four-star receiver from Cocoa, Fla., has been committed to Ohio State since October and he remains “locked in” with the Buckeyes but the word is that Boggs had one of his “best visits” over the weekend to Missouri.
The productive four-star had an “amazing time” in Columbia, learned about position coach Jacob Peeler’s development of his receivers and the Missouri coaches made it clear he’d play early there. Boggs remains committed to Ohio State but this was definitely an interesting visit with no other trips planned.

Beat me to it. Wonder why?

I edited my post to say that his On3 reflects Florida as the lead now. Maybe wanting to stay closer to home and Florida offered something he couldn’t refuse? With how deep our WR class and room is with talent, it’s gotta be an easy thing to recruit against in regards to PT. “Hey man, you can go to OSU where they don’t rotate much and you likely won’t see the field for a few years, or stay home and start right away - we need you.”

Wishing the young man all the best. Has to be a tough pull between where he’s from and where he is. If there’s one thing we’ve learned about OSU recruiting is that they practically always upgrade with the next kid when a kid decommits at any position.
