Flipping from OSU->UM or UM->OSU (split from Dunn thread)

They're not going to sit Gardner his senior year. Not to mention, Morris played one game this year against talent worthy of evaluating him and played horribly (4-17 28 yds., 2 INT's). He was actually outplayed by the freshman QB on Cass Tech.

I realize this is a Bri'onte Dunn thread, but in regards to Morris- you do realize he plays for Warren De La Salle right? A small private all boys college preparatory school that costs about $12k a year to go to.

That team has literally no talent other than Shane. They do not even have a MAC level kid on that roster. Shane had at least 5 or 6 balls flat out dropped in that game and he was running for his life all game- his line gave him no protection and his receivers dropped a lot of passes like I said. Just par for the course for Shane though.

And Jayhru Campbell didn't out play Shane. Not by a long shot. Cass Tech only won the game 6-0, mostly on the back of Royce Jenkins-Stone carrying the ball at RB and Cass Tech playing swarming defense. Campbell actually missed quite a bit of throws. Cass has a bunch of kids on that team that will go to D-1AA, MAC, and BCS. That team is stacked. Warren DLS has Shane...and welp that's pretty much it. You put Shane on that Cass Tech team...I don't think they lose a game the last 2 years or next year.

Back to Brionte though....I think he flips to Michigan, but I don't expect him to make any sort of announcement. I really think he is just biding his time, keeping quiet, waiting to get his early enrollment cleared up and then he'll just enroll at Michigan. I think he is trying to avoid the venom and backlash that he saw Kalis go through from the OSU fan-base.

In case you're implying that OSU fans somehow have a monopoly on venom and backlash, Justin Boren would like to say "hi!"

Completely different set of circumstances, but whatever.

Boren was a 21 year old man that basically trashed the coach, school, and program through the media on his way out. Then he posted pictures of him dressed up as Rich Rodriguez for Halloween on his twitter or myspace or whatever.

Kalis was a 17 year old kid that committed to Jim Tressel. Tressel was forced to leave, he wanted to look at his other options...he did that. He didn't publicly trash Ohio State through the press and then act like a sore ex-girlfriend 6 months later by posting mocking pictures of himself wearing a sweater-vest on his social networking profile now, did he?

Boren deserved every ounce of venom thrown his way.

You've pretty much nailed the scUM view of the two situations. Unfortunately for you, there are two sides to each story.

No, he didn't. Neither does Kalis. And neither would Dunn if he flips. Stop rationalizing bad behavior.

Actually, you're right. I do think I went a little too far.

I don't think Boren or his family deserved the venom they got from the Michigan fan-base, but seriously...it's like...what do you expect? He pretty much trashed the school, it's coach, and the football program on his way out.

If he would have just kept his mouth shut and transferred I think this would be a non-issue and we wouldn't even be talking about this. He didn't though. He very publicly slammed Rodriguez, the school, and the program. His posting of pictures dressed as Rodriguez for Halloween months later didn't help maters either. Neither did his brother taunting the Michigan crowd in 2009.

No, I think you slanted both situations in a lame attempt to discredit the guy who left UM for OSU and to make the guy who recommitted from OSU in favor of UM look like the victim. Mods, can this garbage be split out of the Dunn thread? This guy's rehash of mgoblog is getting old.

No recruit deserves venom for picking the school where he thinks he can best thrive - and that includes Ohio kids who choose Michigan.

This Mister Black can go jump off a high bridge into shallow water so far as I'm concerned. Who cares what he thinks of Justin Boren? It's all just sour grapes.

Please stop. RJS had 60+ yards on 20+ carries against that "no talent" prep school, as you put it. Apparently, the "no talent" team was just as swarming as that "stacked" team...again, your words. Bottom line, Morris played one team all year worthy of judging his talent, and he fell flat on his face.
