Fox Sports 1 (at least its not ESPN)

Jamie Horowitz fired from FOX Sports.

https://www.si.com/tech-media/2017/07/03/jamie-horowitz-leaving-fox-sports-immediately

The man has completely burned down the ship in terms of both the digital and television sides of FOX Sports. The F'ing lead story on FOX Sports' college football site are debating clips about Bob Stoops from maybe a month ago.

Consider his time at NBC and this most recent tenure with FOX, another network should be weary about touching Horowitz (but someone will hire him). If it was possible to make FS1 worse, he did it.

The current state of FOX Sports is the main reason I'm terrified of the network's deal with the Big Ten (unless BTN does literally everything).

Well, nothing has changed for Skip. When was in Dallas, he was sports writer for Dallas Morning News, and he would debate himelf there as well. Usually said something very dumb, but hey, he was at the top of his game then. Now that he's a visual star, he's doing the same crap, but there is a record on it. I didn't think he went to Harvard, where he could debate either side equally well, but couldn't really make a decision. Just be glad he's not with the Dispatch. Go Bucks!

Found it appropriate that Coach Meyer had the only speaking part in FOX/FS1's college football television promotion for the Fall (for the Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12).

It was locker room footage of Coach Meyer, but still happy about it considering it was a multi-conference, national promotion.

Go Buckeyes.

I suppose I agree with Nebraska telling FOX to stop airing the "Children of the Corn" spot, although I don't really think it's a big deal. The school doesn't like being portrayed as a farming school.

“It’s not really the direction we want the brand to go in,” said David Witty, senior associate athletic director for marketing and communications. Witty said Nebraska is happy to collaborate with Fox on promotional ideas in the future. Witty said he doesn’t think the ad will run on TV, but it lives on Twitter.

I guess they could add SAC @NFBuck or something to do with Aviation in general or other items, but the state is predominantly agriculture (like it or not).

Witty doesn't understand that the B1G can't air video of people fucking sheep.

NE isn't WV (on a shit load of levels), fwiw.

LOL! I was hoping you might slightly back me up on the fact that Nebraskans are different than what we would consider rednecks and animal-lovers in other states.
I've got to defend my wife's honor as best I can, but I need some support man!
My wife was born in Nebraska. Let's just say, hee haw wasn't wrong.

Still, there is a lot of corn.
