Not till sometime next year.

For those not familiar with it "300" is a screen adaption of Frank Miller's (of Sin City fame) graphic novel of the same name.

It is of course about the battle of Thermopylae.

found it....March 9th, 2007. Looks unbelievable, my favorite type of movie.

Wow. That looks intense. Have you read Gates of Fire? Outstanding book about the same battle.

Nice call, Gates of Fire is a great book.

On a more scholarly note I can't recomend Paul Cartledge's The Spartans highly enough.

A very interesting movie done in the artsy "Sin City" style!
I like this "look" even more!
Lots of action, should be a good popcorn movie!

"Gates of Fire " is a good read!
"Alexander" is also a fine read!

Went to see Smokin' Aces this weekend (which I thought was great, by the way) and saw the new full theatrical trailer for 300. Anyone else excited about this movie? I imagine BrutusMaximus and some of the other Sin City fans have to be pretty fired up since 300 is another movie based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller. I am admittedly not much of a reader, but I am so excited to see 300 I am contemplating reading the book first.

Really? I searched for "300" and for "Frank Miller" and got nothing...point me in the direction of the other thread and I will merge them.

I was looking at it on IMDB and it said it came out in 2006 and there were tons of reviews and threads on the movie.
