This is such a lull & dull period in the interests of Ohio State Football until spring practices begins as we see some of the topics here in BP. We are all awaiting the final word out of the investigations going on from the NCAA
and we have to wonder what Clarett will have say if nothing comes of this.

Down here in Jacksonville the word is going around that Maurice Wells of Sandlewood High School may have to bulk up if he intends to make it big with the Buckeyes. He goes around 177 lbs right now and some say he doesn't really have all the great moves that some say he has. But yet So/Cal sure was high on him as well as other schools.
 
Have you seen his video??? sure looked fine to me... also, how big was Fred Russel at Iowa? How about Ginn this year? Sure he wasn't a RB, but that isn't the point.... pics I have seen of MoWells makes him looked ripped!

If conely was high enough on him to offer him without permission from the rest of the staff,
then I would venture to say he is plenty good enough.
I would like to seem him bulk up some, get into the 190's.

That seems to be par for the course whenever that legendary Florida speed chooses a slow, Big 10 school. If a player leaves the south, he wasn't that good anyway :roll2:

didnt either scout or rivals run a story on him at the beginning of AA game practices talking about how he looked a lot bigger and looked to be about 185-190 lbs? i do believe one of the two services did.

it was impressive that you could read the 177 listed in his profile from a year and a half ago.

This kid isn't coming here on Computerbuck's recommendation. The OSU coaches have been hard after him for some time and I would imagine reviewing no small amount of film. I am confident they have a better read on his moves and his size than 'some'.

It couldn't possibly be that 'some' people in Florida can't accept a quality running back leaving the state, could it?

i see a 5-9, 180 lb running back in the NFL is pretty darn good.....and he is described as a "between the tackles" type of a runner.....

You guys sure hit the nail on the head. Oh8ch sums up my same feelings also along with the rest of you. In my 1st post I referred to "some" as being the talk show hosts that i call in quite frequently. They don't want to hear shite about Ohio State. Because to many, we are a P I T A and Miami fans are still convinced, they won the N/C of 2002. They are still in denial. I would like to go over to Sandlewood and get an up close and personal on Wells but i have to watch my self down here. Wish me luck.
