G D'Angelo Russell (Unanimous 1st Team All-American, All-Star, Los Angeles Lakers)

Hard to believe Russell is projected so high in the draft, but I guess the NBA GMs need to find someone to draft from a weak crop. The NBA has pillaged college basketball of the top talent so thoroughly that a kid like Russell is expected to be a lottery pick, even though he struggles to be efficient offensively against most good college teams.

Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com just updated his top 100 prospect list. He has Russell at 4.

He's good and undoubtedly has a bright NBA future: however, at this point in is career I don't think he is there (i.e. 4th best in draft) yet.

Sam was probably so surprised that the pass got through to him that he forgot about making the shot:wink:

I don't think that I've seen another college player make a pass like that which involves seeing the hole in the defense before it develops, timing it just right to get past 3 defenders, hitting the right spot on the floor to make sure the ball gets past the defenders and bounces to the perfect spot for his guy to catch it and put the correct english on it to make threading the needle possible. Then, just to make sure we saw what we really saw and show that it was no fluke, he did it again last night. DAR still has a few minor holes in his game, but man he is an incredible talent, the best frosh 2G I've seen in college in a long time.
