G/F Evan "The Villain" Turner (2010 Naismith Winner)

Had he decided to come back, I'd watch games dreading he'd be injured.

Glad to see Evan making the correct choice. (Whichever choice he made, of course, would be correct for him.)

Agreed, this is a very sound decision. Definitely what I'd have recommended. Good for him...go get paid...you deserve it Evan. You gave tOSU a great run.

tOSU will move on and have another great year next year. That's the nature of college ball...new kids step in each year, it's part of what makes it so exciting.

Tear 'em up ET!

Good luck, 21.

Good for him, I'm sure, but I still feel like someone died.

Who's the leader next year? Diebler? Simmons? what a vacuum! And don't tell me any of the freshmen, please.

maybe Ft. Lauderdale will be the leader next year.... but WHO'S GONNA HANDLE THE ROCK???

Dang, these freshmen better be good.

Peace Out

There's a kid named Buford who might be good enough to keep the sky from falling on you at such an alarming rate.

Discussion of next year's team belongs in the 2010-11 team thread in the bball forum.

I wish the best in the world to you Evan Turner. You were/are a great Buckeye and great person. You have now gone down as the greatest Buckeye basketball player that I (personally) have ever seen. Do your thing dude, you deserve all the greatness that is coming your way.

Congrats and hope he does well. What a great kid.

Turning Pro: Turner Makes “Agonizing” Decision to Leave

2 quotes that stood out to me from the article above:

The greatest thing I saw this year was he kept both feet in the program until the last second and that resonates for your program.

Evan is such an amazing kid. As we talked yesterday he was like "coach I don't want to hurt the program, I don't want to hurt the APR," Matta said.
