If you’re wondering whether the last month’s controversy surrounding Urban Meyer will impact Miller’s commitment to the Buckeyes, his mom was wearing an “Urban Legends Never Die” shirt.

THE HURRY UP: CATCHING UP WITH MICHIGAN GUARD DALLAS FINCHER, TREY KNOX CHOOSES ARKANSAS AND TWO FAMILIAR FACES MOVING ON UP

    MILLER TIME

Following Buford's (Ga.) 49-0 drubbing of Johnson High School this past Friday, five-star center Harry Miller was named the Atlanta Touchdown Club's Lineman of the Week. Miller, who committed to Ohio State this past June, was given his award during a ceremony that featured ESPN's Holly Rowe as the keynote speaker.

The hits keep coming, literally, for the 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman that's considered the second-best center in the country. Miller is a key part of the Buckeyes' 2019 recruiting class and will arrive on campus alongside fellow linemen Doug Nester and Ryan Jacoby.

The more I know about Holly Rowe, the more glad I am to see her continue to be part of the college football landscape. And happy to see her with this fine young Buckeye!

The coach, the 5-star recruit and his mom: The Urban Meyer-Harry Miller story

    Ari Wasserman Oct 11, 2018[IMG] 75
BUFORD, Ga. — A scarlet wreath in the shape of Ohio State’s “Block O” hangs on the front door of Harry Miller’s home in suburban Atlanta. The wreath is simply an accent, but its shade captures the eyes of passers-by — not the size of the three-story brick structure, the Ohio State rock on the front lawn, the sign bearing Miller’s name punched into the soil next to that rock or Miller’s white Dodge Ram with an Ohio State sticker prominently displayed on the back window.

The house, in the heart of SEC country and an hour away from the campus of the University of Georgia, is seemingly plucked straight out of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and dropped into the South. The people who live inside the house have been directly connected to Ohio State only since April — when Miller committed to play football there during his official visit — but they’ve already proved to be as deeply invested in the Buckeyes as those who have lived 10 minutes from Ohio Stadium their entire lives.

The events of the past six months, and the way Miller and his mom, Kristina, have reacted to those events, have proved that. They love Ohio State, they adore the coach, they view Columbus as home and they see a university that’ll be the perfect environment for the manifestation of the five-star offensive lineman’s dreams, which are far more detailed and expansive than simply being good enough at football to reach the NFL.

Miller looks to have the skill set needed to play in the NFL. He’s a 6-foot-4, 290-pound offensive lineman from powerhouse Buford (Ga.) High who is one of the top-three centers nationally as well as a consensus top-35 player overall in the 2019 recruiting class. Regardless of who signs with Ohio State, Miller will be one of the jewels of the class, a player who chose the Buckeyes over Alabama, Georgia, Stanford and numerous others. He’s everything Ohio State wants in a football player. And a lot more.

When you walk through the front door of the Miller house, it leads straight back. There’s a staircase to the right and a living room with a TV mounted on the wall situated behind that staircase. To the left, there’s the kitchen and family eating area, a place where Kristina’s relationship with Urban Meyer has blossomed from her being the parent of an elite-level football prospect to a parent who has a close relationship with a famous football coach......

Notice the “Block O” wreath on the door? The Millers aren’t shy about expressing their allegiance to Ohio State, even if they live about an hour from the University of Georgia campus.
