I thought a thread for game demos would be good, as I forget about them usually.

All platforms welcome.

Two I am downloading this week on XBL:

- Darksiders: The demo is 90 minutes long for a supposedly underrated game.

- Just Cause 2 (coming Thursday): 35 square video game miles to roam around in and shoot stuff. I'm curious to see how big the file size will be.

Add any that you have had and liked, or that are about to be released.
 
What is this Just Cause game?? I've never heard of it. Shed some light on me. I watched a few youtube videos but I don't get the point. Is there a story GTA type esque or what?

Downloading God of War 3 demo for PS3, Very excited.

By the way, unless I missed something - the Darksiders demo is no where near that long. I own(ed) the game. Decent story, pretty fun. solid 7.5 from me.

I'm not too sure either :lol: I just know it's a sandbox game like GTA.

When I read about the Darksiders demo on XBL it said there would be 90 mins of gameplay. I haven't played it yet, so I can't confirm it to be true.

I'm downloading it now...I may have to go pick up GTAIV again for some shooting fun. Idk yet.

I can see Just Cause 2, being fun, but very repetitive. I mean you have to go from "community to community" and destroy government property? I see that getting boring after an hour or two of gameplay.

Same impression I have. It is a good thing to mess around with to kill some time. I mainly like to run to the nearest helicopter/plane and fly around like a maniac for awhile.

Now I do really like the grappling hook, other than that the game really isn't anything special. Thus why I may have to go pick up GTA:IV again for some fun shooting/cop/sandbox game.

However I did have a TON of fun with those exploding white/red canisters that took off like a rocket esp the ones that were stuck in the hut at the beginning. Attach it to something via the grappler and watch them fly. Now that was funny stuff.

UFC Undisputed 2010 demo comes out sometime today. If anyone is interested you have to go to community.ufcundisputed.com and register to get a code to download the demo. I'm very excited about getting my hands on this one. The game in general is suppose to be much more fluid and life-like. Will let everyone know how it is.

Blur - average. Not good or bad. Not something I would play very long, even though I love the need for speed series

Split second - well made racer, I think I'd get bored with it. You build up to trigger a bonus weapon of creating carnage. Good idea average fun. Nowhere near as entertaining as the burnout series, which I enjoyed a lot.

Ironman 2 - clunky, horrendous graphics. Felt like an early title from the last generation of consoles

Backbreaker - a poor ripoff of NFL blitz, which wasn't great either

Arcade title demos:

Toy soldiers - fun idea, mounted guns, airplanes, etc. Loses its novelty quickly.

Tmnt shells in time - fun remake of classic game with new graphics. Will be half price in the next week or two.

Techmo - awful remake of the Nintendo classic.
