Game Thread Game Eleven: Ohio state 25, Michigan 21 (final)

That smack on the ass was hilarious...it was like a little brother gets after a pee-wee game.

What a comeback...and now Troy Smith is officially a Buckeye legend, no matter what else he has done, good and bad. Hats off to every single player for leaving it all on the field today, and for giving us another Buckeye season we can all remember with pride.

Now, someone throw a flag on me for celebrating.

ByMatthew Zemek The game was a microcosm of Ohio State’s whole season. At times, Troy Smith was brilliant, at times he was tentative and turnover-prone. On some occasions, the Buckeyes were awesome; on other occasions, Ohio State was vulnerable to emotional letdowns and long stretches of stagnant, uninspired play. The Bucks had dominated Michigan in the early going, but midway through the fourth quarter on Saturday in Ann Arbor, the scoreboard read Michigan 21, Ohio State 12. For all of their excellence, for all of their talent, for all of their enormous capabilities, the Buckeyes were about to lose to one of the poorer Michigan teams in recent memory.

Turnover-prone??? He got stripped while throwing. I hardly consider one fumble "turnover-prone."

Other than that, not a bad write-up.

Guys, I just got home and what a game...I am about to go out and lose my mind, but first I wanted to stop on here and say how proud I was of JT and the team today. Although we had our share of problems on offense and on special teams, we pulled out that big win in the Big House. Whatever happens post-season, we ended with the W of all W's. I can graduate from this university knowing that JT went 4-1 against the scUM up north while I was here. I am so happy for our boys, and I hope Carp turn out ok.

At first I thought the same thing, but I think Zemek was referring to the whole season, rather than just today's game, and at times earliier in the season that was true.

ABC/Maize&Blue

I didnt see this posted, am I the only one who noticed Musenburgers blue and yellow tie, blue sweater and yellow coat? I can only wonder what he was thinking when he got dressed. Also ABC didnt replay some very close calls that went against tOSU. I guess im still pissed about Greise doing the game when his son was quarterbacking.

File that under "get over it"
Musberger is hardly anti-OSU, you're correct in that you must still be pissed about Griese. I never personally thought he did a bad job when his son was playing. He was never too homerish IMO.

I concur on the replay issue. Never got to see Schlegel's PI call. Never got to see the replay of the incomplete slant to Gonzo in the endzone that looked a bit like PI to me. Might have been the right non-call, but I'll never know. There was another that had me wondering why they didn't show a replay, but I can't think of it right now.

Why, because Michigan never loses 3 games in a season? :slappy:
