Game Thread Game Five: Penn State 17, Ohio State 10 (Final)

So an offense is supposed to dominate every snap? What about coverage sacks? Pittman getting swallowed up? Wouldn't that be execution?

The easy way out imo is blaming gameplans and coaches when not a one of us has watched a second of film, done any scouting, etc.

When you cannot deciper it yourself or have no idea what you are seeing or why you are seeing it, that is an easy way out.

That is not meant to be harsh in regards to any of you guys, but it is the best way I can explain it from the other side of the fence.

This is a statement based on logic, not on execution or play-calling for this particular game: When an offense struggles for several years under the same coaches, but under different players as players graduate and move on, then it probably isn't always all on the players. It's as simple as that.

I love Tressel. I think he's an excellent coach. But I think he can improve in one facet of the game. He's perfected our defense, and more recently our special teams. Imagine if he did the same with our offense. They aren't mutually exclusive things.
