Greg Paulus (HC Niagara University)

FWIW, Mili, I'm pretty sure that rules I posted are up to date.. the more likely scenario is I'm missing something. I don't pretend to know the inner workings of NCAA bylaws. Just trying to get the rules I think address the situation out there.

But, I do think the 14.1.9.1 and 14.5.5.2.10 exceptions would allow him to play next year if he did indeed end up at Michigan.

Let me put it this way, I don't see anything which forbids it. If it was a same sport transfer, I think I'd be singing a different tune.... though, happily, it would still be at Michigan's expense. :slappy:

Keep in mind that I know nothing about Duke Football, except that they've always sucked, and last year they kind of sucked less than usual.

If he wants to play in the NFL, why wouldn't he just stay at Duke? Doesn't Duke run a more conventional offense so scouts can actually evaluate how he might do at the next level? Does Duke already have their QB depth chart set? I guess I don't understand why a spread QB from a pass first offense would want to go to Michigan. Especially if he wants to move on to the NFL next year.

Good enough for me. I can hear t_BuckeyeScott's wife asking him tomorrow morning, "Honey why were you moaning 'Yeaaaah, Mili was wrong' while we made love last night?" :slappy:

How many people can say they were both a starting basketball player at Duke and the starting quarterback at Michigan? Those are two pretty prestigious positions...

What does this tell you about the state of Michigan football?

Cutcliffe: Paulus invited to spring tryout - ESPN.com
"We talked but there is no way he'd be able to compete to play for us at the quarterback position," Cutcliffe said... "It's just so difficult without playing quarterback for such a long time."

We are all assuming that he's looking at Michigan to play QB. It makes the most sense. So how do you feel about lowly Duke football saying "there is no way he'd be able to compete to play for us at the quarterback position"?

Duke won't let you compete for a QB spot, but Michigan will.

to be fair.....the words "Duke" and "Michigan" are misleading. Duke has a legit QB coach who knows what he's doing and knows what he's talking about. Michigan has a fucking clown who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.

Time out!!!!

Sorry, I just can't see Duke and Michigan in the same post without thinking that the clock needs to be stopped.

Are you thinking about Webber's infamous timeout against Carolina?

I could give a shit who they freakin get...I guess after RR ass gets fired in 2010 their gonna hire coach K...GMAFB. RR saw that train wreck of a spring game and knows his ass is in serious trouble. Their program is a joke and is in shambles. This is a stupid ass ploy for attention...RR is a magnet for attention and most of it is either from his stupidity(like this) or negative because hes an unethical prick.

I look at it this way. Waste the schoalrship for as long as you want RR. I hope their class this year is 15 offense and 5 defense. This dumbass keeps neglecting his defense...shit I would be looking at Paulus as a DB because they didn't have one Saturday worth a damn.

To be fair we were excited about getting Bauserman back and he did win the backup job. Of course, he had a little more than a year left to develop into something and he wasn't the starter but still. You have a 4* qb with a strong family history of loosing to OSU and crying like a baby. Sounds good to me.

Big Big difference between playing pro baseball and playing college basketball. Joe was throwing a baseball...I know thats not the same as a football but he was using his arm...while paulus was shooting a basketball. Also Joe has been in our program for a year now and wasn't expected to contribute very much last year because of Pryor and Boeckman...Paulus will be expected to be their Savior...Big Big difference IMO.

Might be going a tad overboard there.

That's Tom Beaver? He sounds like somebody selling me gatorade at a gas station. Or, for any Stern fans, he sounds exactly like "Ass Napkin Ed".
