Greg Schiano (HC Rutgers Scarlet Knights)

It's seriously annoying how VT, Clemson and Alabama (until this year) have consistently managed to hang on to stellar coordinators, while we lose ours every 2 years.

1) doesn’t mean they don’t interview and just not get the job
2) all those dudes make $1M+ if I’m not mistaken
3) None of those guys were former head coaches in college much less the NFL

What a mediocre hire for Tennessee. I could see Shiano going to a place like Miss St or Arkansas to try and build his resume, but nothing he has done has proven he can win at a big time SEC program. I know the fans already don't like him.

Liked what he did at his time here and wish him the best of luck moving forward, unless we play.

I disagree. Greg Schiano has proven to be a very capable and competent FBS/division 1A HC. It did take him 5 years, but turning Rutgers into a winner was quite an accomplishment. OK, he "bombed" in the NFL; but so did Saban. He would be a great hire for Tennessee.

He was .500 at Rutgers. It's a Butch Jones hire. It's a Brady Hoke hire. Plus you have the fact UT fans want nothing to do with him due to his Penn St involvement. Vols fans are rightfully pissed.
