(1) We've carried over the fire and intensity from the Michigan game. I thought that would have been lost with Troy's absence, and as a result of his obscene idiocy, it hasn't been.

(2) Major props to Mike Tirico for getting "on that soapbox" and calling out the media for sensationalism over responsible journalism. Major props to both Kirk and Lee Corso for stepping up and saying that we don't yet/necessarily deserve the reputation that we've developed over the last few years. Major props to them for everything they said on the subject. Next time someone wants to rip Kirk, or ESPN as a whole, we have to remember that amongst the idiots, there are people who are reasonable. NO props for completely hijacking the game broadcast and turning the bowl game into the "Let's Talk About OSU's Troubles" Hour. Show the game, pricks, talk about the shit some other time. At least it was when oOSU was on offense. :shake:

(3) 23-0. Oklahoma State didn't see us coming. Like NCSU, Washington State, Washington, Texas Tech, and probably Texas next year, I think they read too much into our struggles this year, and in years past. This is complete and total domination on all levels, and *we're* the team with all the pre-game distractions and drama. We have a gimpy lame-duck (in that he lost his job mid season and is only starting because of the Troy Smith suspension) QB, and we're mangled oOSU in the first half. Will that hold up? Who knows, oOSU is better than how they appeared so far. But then again, lol, so are we. It could just get worse for them.

(4) Before the game, I mentioned to a few people that I was basically apathetic about the game itself. Lame bowl, less-intriguing opponent (nothing personal to Oklahoma State, this just isn't an OSU/USC, OSU/Miami, OSU/Oklahoma game, and I'm sure you all would have been more excited than a higher ranked opponent than us that had a better record), the Troy Smith nonsense -- the bottom line is that I came into the game thinking "so what?" Obviously now I'm having fun.

(5) Don't sweat the drama. If we've done wrong, we'll pay as we should. The media's job is to hype it. When OSU came up yesterday during the Miami(OH)-ISU game, they just ranted and raved about Ted Ginn. Why? Because no Buckeye fans were watching. When they ragged on us during the Colorado-UTEP halftime, it was because they knew the Buckeye nation was watching. It's ratings folks. They talk, we talk about what they said, we watch and get all excited about it, their advertisers get more eyeballs. Cha-ching. If it bugs you so much, just ignore them. I didn't hear what they said, and I don't care to know. It doesn't affect me. I'm not a booster, I'm not connected to the program, we will field a team no matter what happens. Sometimes that has to be enough.

(6) Even Mark May and Trev Alberts were just reasonable and rational about our troubles just now during our halftime. Good for them.

(7) Someone slip Ted Ginn $100 after this game for me, he's the shit. I don't remember ever being so entertained by one player. That one catch where he just magically pulled an extra 35 yards out of his ass? Lol, I was laughing my ass off. It's Keystone Cops in pads. Or Three Stooges? I don't know, wacky hijinks ensue.

(8) If we get *adequate* play out of any QB next year, just adequate, and if we beat Texas, I think we're right back in the title hunt. Our WRs and LBs are too good. We have young talent at RB. We have enough young talent that the ONLY senior we're going to really suffer the loss of is Mike Nugent. No disrespect to Fox, Fraser, etc., it's just we have people ready to step up here. Losing Nuge sucks. Next year could be the first year my preseason prediction for us has us running the table.

Agreed, Clarity. And the bad thing about the lopsided score is that they have plenty of time to talk about non-game topics.

Props to your insight, however bigger props to Pres. Tressel for once again getting the guys ready & motivated to play the big games. I love when the bookies make us the dogs for big/bowl games. can you say 2 dimes!

(10) Lydell Ross running like this is a great way for him to go out. For the first time in years, he looks spry. Good vision, good acceleration, he's making people miss, and he's not going down on the first tackle. Good for him.

(11) Teddy Ginn isn't human. He's been downloaded from GameDay'98. He cuts and moves like no Earth-born being can. He has 360 degree vision. Someone get on Amazon and order 21 more of him.

Good insight Clarity, I enjoyed reading it.

(12) Best game of Pitcocks career? I think so.

OMG I think AJ just killed Donovan.......

Yeah, awesome hit. Good to see Woods get up. He's lucky Fraser didn't have another step in, had Fraser and Hawk met with Woods in the middle? Would have been ugly.

Agreed on Pitcock.

Holy shit, lol, two more MONSTER hits.

And then Fraser gets a great lick on him a few plays later. These guys are really hitting tonight.

That was Lydell Ross that just stiff-armed a tackler, then carried him another 5 yards.

Or rather, as Vince just said; "Who are you, and what did you do with Lydell Ross?"

And wow, he just lowered his shoulder and smashed through another tackler.

I wonder what might have been had Lydell been healthier during his career. Maybe nothing? Who knows.

I agree, he is really impressive this game. Carrying tacklers, having great vision. I am really really happy for him.

I think Lydell is a little over 90 yards at the end of the third quarter. They should give him the carries to get over 100. Nice way for Ross to go out.

Wow! Zwick just flattened a DL on Teddy's wandering run.
