I have 4 different fireworks shows I could go out in the madness to watch (3 parks, and the show downtown), or I can watch 3 (the park shows) of the 4 from my balcony and not deal with the traffic and madness. Decisions decisions...

I have been to big shows, like Red White and Boom here, Boston on the esplanade, NYC, etc, and small ones like suburban Columbus towns such as Worthington or wherever, and frankly I don't notice a difference. Sometimes, bigger just mean cluttered. I'll always choose for the easiest.

At the same time, it is hilarious that fireworks aren't always held on July 4th in Columbus. That is sacrilegious and defeats the point in the Northeast.
