HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

I'd be curious to know if you find any fault with the logic in that article? I don't find any.
Nope. Thats why I said he wouldn't be alone

I honestly cuss Ryan Day out on game days more than I praise him, except the UGA game. When he gets totally in his bag and fired up, dude can mash a Defense within minutes. Other times, it's WTF?!?!

This article sounds like someone was mad about Brown not getting playing time, and needed a different approach to make their article stand out from the 100 other ones that came out this week. Should Day have been clear about Brown being a definite 2nd to McCord? Honestly I don't care. Not sure why anyone cares when neither have played much but it's clear that Day trusts McCord and is trying to keep Brown engaged and getting more playing time. But sure, he should just come out and say that.

The article itself can be written about any head coach. It's not that difficult to come to a conclusion and then build an argument by pseudo-psychoanalyzing someone who is on video for hundreds of hours. You could've written this same article about Meyer. Indecision with QBs, micromanaging his staff, nearly passing out on the sideline, refusal to change his offense and insisting on going back to QB power when it’s not working. Meyer didn't have some psychological advantage that won the title in 2014 but mysteriously disappeared for the other 6 seasons. He was a better, more experienced coach that had some luck go his way.

I don’t see an unavoidable decline into mediocrity coming. This team played one game and it was disappointing like a lot of first games have been when replacing talent. Maybe they’ll shit the bed and loose to ND, Wisconsin, PSU, and Michigan. I just don’t see the point in expecting it when Day has won 11 or more games every season and made the playoffs 3 out of 4 years.

How much harder is it to spin up a new QB1 when they're splitting practice reps and being publicly questioned?
If the race is truly as tight as he said, then why doesn't that materialize on gameday. opportunities?
If it's not... feels like we're holding ourselves back when we have a huge test coming up.
If it's not close, how upset would the faux "1b" be when they're not given a chance on gameday. Id be more upset if i was being lied to and about in pressers, than if you just told me i was #2.

Second guessing myself, maybe Day thinks the OL is so bad that he needs two QB1s to get through the year. 6 is his guy, but 33 could be called on to play significant minutes if this OL doesn't improve fast.

Are you fucking kidding? Whose fault IS this? What? They could've played last season, but both sat their asses on the bench for absolutely no good reason and you knew this train was coming.

"I think both guys want to play so I think the confidence of that is great. They just really haven’t done a lot of it. So I think that’s just the missing piece,” Day said.

Was I the only one that found those post game sideline interview responses really direct and borderline surprising at times?

I didn't see them. What did he say?

His body language during the game looked like a man who had had enough of something (or somebody(s) and was going to go off on them.

I thought the same thing. He looked like he was just waiting to get the chance to go off on someone. One of those cases where I wish he had shown some fire and just done it. ( unless it's an issue with a member of the staff which should be handled out of the public eye)

He’s fed up with the new clock rules and how many fewer possessions they are getting.

He said he was disappointed with certain outposts against “a team like this”
