HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

Day needs to admit he needs a playcaller.
He's a great play caller at times. It blows my mind when I see a god damn stretch to the boundary, not one but TWO RB passes needing to drive the field in 2 mins, or obviously no QB sneak. He can keep play calling duties if he just stops doing that shit randomly in big games.

When probably 90% of 2nd downs are a very predictable run... sigh.
Throw run throw... if i looked at each set that went to 3rd down, i bet that would be a very stable pattern.
Way too obvious.
Then there was that timeout just to run Egbuka into the boundary on 4th??? Please i want a dedicated playcalling OC in the booth.

I kind of like him keeping the QB coach job, he brings in recruits and does work as a QB guru.
But it's obvious that he's wearing too many hats imo. And we have a useless assistant coach (ST) that could be swapped into an OC job. Do we even need to wait for the season to end? Surely there's an OC somewhere.

"Thanks for your patience."

He was fired up and I can't blame him. I appreciate that. Still want to talk about some of those decisions, though. But tonight, enjoy the W.

He should’ve just knocked the microphone out of her hand and yell “you understand me you fucking bitch”

On a serious note I wouldn’t have even dignified Holtz with acknowledgement. Dude’s going to be found dead with shit in his diaper on some random morning so who cares what he says.

First I am seeing this with all the internet issues last night.

To use the current vernacular, it’s cringy.

Who cares what a tv personality says? Especially an old senile one who’s a known ND homer. Act like you expected to win and move on.

You want to go on a passive aggressive rant after a win, do it in November and call out Harbaugh by name.

Agreed. I thought it was mostly a bad look. Great passion but directed at the wrong person. The play calling throughout the game was even more cringy….

Yeah I meant to hit on that, too. Every team we play shuts down lots of plays before they even start. It has to be because we're predictable as fuck. There are easy touchdowns out there to be had just by going against very obvious tendencies.

The Holtz specific callout isn’t great but I do appreciate the insight into the lockerroom and his head that they are hearing the toughness questions. And they are responding to them.

Like I said in the game thread. Keep it up.

I need that red ass, fiery anger more. He’s shown it. I know it’s there. Be that killer.

I really need it the last week of November.

I’m worried Day is cracking like Cooper. Embrace itRyan make OSU GREAT AGAIN. Or scale back coach at New Hampshire.

His play calling on 3rd and short situations feeds into the “soft team” narrative big time.

If he wants to have a hissy fit about that being a thing, then be man enough to look in the mirror and own your part of it.
