For people in the Columbus area with hdtv:

Does your cable provider carry the Sinclair channels (FoxHD and abcHD)? Time warner does not and its a real pain in the ass with all the nfl and bcs games available. Does "WOW" or Insight carry them? Also, does anyone know if time warner is close to a deal with Sinclair b/c I don't want to change providers and then a week later see that they finally reached a deal. Thanks for any help.

Time-Warner is always in "negotiations" with the HD services. I don't see what the big deal is, just broadcast the damn channels in HD.

Also, most of the HD outlets (ESPN and NBC in particular) really are pissing me off because they show about 2 games a week in HD. Why have the fucking channel if you are barely ever going to use it?

I e-mailed Time Warner several months ago and asked them when they would be offering Fox and ABC in HD. At the time they were still in negotiations with ESPN. The guy told me they were in negotiations with Sinclair Broadcasting and ESPN and that he expected an agreement with ESPN was going to be reached soon(he was right about that) but said there was no timetable for Fox and ABC. It would be nice if they could get it done before next season. Maybe I'll drop him another line.

Anyone know what channel the Super Bowl is on this year?

Thanks for the info guys, oh and the superbowl will be on fox this year. I did some research and found that Insight has abc and fox in hd, so if timewarner doesn't have them by football season I might have to make a change.
