I see a total meltdown from Oregon like we saw from Cal last year, after they felt like they were snubbed.

The diference between Cal last year and Oregon this year is Cal wasn't happy to be in the Holiday Bowl but Oregon and their fans are very happy to be 10-1 and playing a storied program like Oklahoma in the Holiday bowl after going 5-6 and missing a bowl game last year. If the Ducks can get solid play from Dennis Dixon, their offensive line and hold Adrian Peterson to around 100 yards and not let him take the game over then they should win. This game boils down to how well the linemen play. Should be a great game.

Gimme 500 on the Sooners. I think Peterson is gonna run all over those stupid uniforms.

It'll be a very interesting matchup between Adrian Peterson and Haloti Ngata. I'm not sure if Oregon will be able to somewhat keep Peterson in check. I think if they hold him to less than 110 yards rushing it will be an accomplishment. The Ducks sometimes have problems tackling and Adrian Peterson is very hard to bring down. I'm nervous about this game.

If Oklahoma wins it'll be because of Peterson, not Bomar.

very true but bomar lost games for them at the beginning of the year and contributed nothing. now he can contribute somewhat. it may not be outstanding but it helps the team and frees up defenses from completely keying on the run all the time and giving peterson some big runs. if bomar wouldnt have improved oklahoma prolly wouldnt even be in a bowl game.

You gotta' be kiddin' me. The Big-12 is the 5th worst conference. Iowa St., Kansas, Kansas St., Texas A&M, Oklahoma St., Colorado, Baylor, Missouri, and Nebraska suck. Oklahoma and Texas Tech are average and Texas is great. The Pac-10 is way better than the Big-12.

even though im picking the sooners to win i wholeheartedly agree. the big 12 approached disgusting levels of suckiness this year. as of now oklahoma is the second best team in the conference in my mind after they improved over the year but this conference is terrible. oklahoma isnt dominant even though they are better. texas tech plays nobody, colorado wellll does that that need explanation?

oregon fans are NOT very happy at all... many seem quite furious about missing the bcs (and I wouldn't be real happy as a UO fan left with OU as the fallback plan... they limped thru 2004).

Who knows if it will have the same effect, but at least the fans seemed unhappy about the bowl placement (I'm sure they will still support their team well tho).
