    • Well, I drive into the Atlanta area from Charlotte last night for a meeting this morning. Popped out of bed this morning with plenty of time to get to the office. Jump into the car turn on the engine and it doesn't start. Tries to turn over but to no avail. WTF? Finally look down and notice no gas in the tank. Somebody stole the gas out of the tank last night and now I am at the mercy of AAA. How is your day going?
     
    Oh, that is annoying. I hope the office was understanding.

    I have a plumber working on my bathroom today. He pointed out that I really need a new flush mechanism or whatever in the toilet because it wasn't working properly. I said, "The new toilet I bought a few weeks ago?" Wouldn't you know, it was just a fluke and worked properly after all. Really wanted to kick him out at that point, but it's been ridiculous getting people in for these last things and I just want it done. Now he's at Lowe's picking up a tiny setting screw we misplaced for the shower handle... do plumbers not carry these sorts of things? Ah well.

    Ah the stories I could tell about my experiences with contractors, etal. I do as much of my own work as I can these days.

    Well let me start by saying I got up ok, Had my toast and coffee breakfast, went to the VA to pick up pills and drop off some ear wax filters. Then I went to my Legion post to help set up chairs and then pitched 52 horseshoes> Now the really good thing is that I didnt have to wear my oxygen except the last of the horseshoe. Btw Got to ride my cycle too.
    If that isn't enough to make you downright giddy listen to this! After a fabulous lunch of egg whites with a sauce of onions, salsa, and Taco Bell Diablo sauce! Mmmmmm boy,I Followed that great repast by trimming 3 bushes with a limb cutter and tried to mow the lawn since my wife had knee surgery and can't yet. That didn't work out.... Then I drove down by the river and found out it is blocked off due to the road being wiped out by the ice this spring. They are paving it the ext two days. Besides the river is powerful enough to take out bridges yet it had to be 26 knots Sunday (prob down to 25 or 24 now.
    Then I had 2 beers. Not a bad day for a 76 year old pervert.

    Just when I think my life sucks balls, a post like this comes along. Then again, I'm 54 and doubt I'll ever see 76, so hats off to you.
