How will the Bucks beat mich?

Nice post GK...you were in my mind on that one.

Rollouts, sliding pockets, and flooded zones are on my wishlist this week. We showed the option now let's work some PA off of that.

Defensively, stop Hart first...then unleash hell on Mother Henne

Crowd -- I don't want any silence any time sCUM has the ball. If sCUM does not have 5 false start penalties by the end of the game we are going to re-allocate your tickets using lottery system specifically designed to eliminate game-day hand-sitters
.

This is huge. Even more so than we prob. realize. These kids have heard all the negatives this season, and now that fucker clarett stirs the pot even more. The last thing they need is for the fans to turn on them or even not cheer for them if the game goes rougher than we want it to. A loud crowd can do amazing things. Pain a lot more tolerable when the juices get going, for Christ sake when the juices get going pain is your friend. It drives you during the game and you laugh it. "Back in the day' I used to go back to the huddle with my other O-Line mates and laugh as we pulled jammed fingers and waited for the next series to tape the broken ones. Hell three of my fingers are still crooked as shit. The next day (and the rest of your life for that matter) the pain hits, but that is a story for another day

I know this sounds corny.....but the crowd can be the KEY to the entire game....scum hasnt exactly lit it up on the road this year because they are playing two true freshmen in the backfield...

make these two feel like their heads are pounding....force a couple of early mistakes....then this game takes on a different feel all together....

if the crowd can give these two the "deer in the headlights" look.....the bucks can win this game...

also the coaches have to be agressive as hell early to get the crowd into it.....this soft zone bullshit and two runs between the tackles and a qb scramble shit have to go.....the coaches also need to get the crowd going early.....

just my two cents....

Keys to Victory (one man's opinion)

There are just three simple battles we need to win, in order to win the war....

1. Win the war in the trenches.......we must establish the "threat" of a running game to keep them honest and on defense we must get pressure on Henne without blitzing the majority of the time.

2. We must win the turnover battle....we cannot turn the ball over at all, our margin of error is slim, we need every advantage. I would say we need at least one pick by our defense.

3. We must get consistent play out of our quarterback, Smith needs to run it when needed and stretch the field with some deep balls early.

If we can do these three things we will use the home crowd as the advantage and pull of the upset. It will be close regardless, I predict a OSU victory.....21-17.

Keep in mind that Northwestern held Michigan to 7 points in the first half this past week, at the Pig House no less. They did that by playing the WRs tight and by stuffing the run. Michigan State did the same thing against Michigan at the Pig House three weeks ago, holding Michigan to 10 points over 3 1/2 quarters. Purdue held them to 16 points in their game. Even Miami (Oh) held them to 10 points in the first half at the Pig House and 274 yards total offense for the game. Michigan can be shut down. If we play the exact same defense we played for the first 25 minutes of the second half against Purdue, we can contain Michigan.

(Good morning Milli)

This scUM team is very, very beatable. NW played them tough for a 1/2, miami, Oh played them tough for a 1/2, Minnesota all but beat them, hell scUM light had them beat and let them go.
We will have to be emotional and ready to go. But our talent matches up very well with them.

Not to over simplify this, or put it all on one guy. But if Fraizer has his best game this year I think we win.

You sell out....your fricken sell out this game. As an OL you do everything in your power to drive that ex-ohioan off the ball and put him in the ground. OL at the second level have to get on backers and really really seal them off or drive them out of the play. The fullbacks have to light kids up and make them think twice about filling a hole at full spead. They have to knock guys on their ass and cut guys on the outside to give Troy time.

Mo H and Pittman have to hit the holes like there is no tomorrow. Protect the ball and look for a lane to cutback when they get through the line.
Receivers need to get off the line as we will be maned up for a while. They need to run great routes and make any catch that comes their way.

Smith needs to be accurate and on with his passes. He needs to be able to add some deep touch as we know we can go deep on these guys!

Defense needs to just bang people and wrap. Cortizone passed around to all of the boys for this one...WAR!!!!!!!!!

('afternoon Jamey)

There is only one guy I'm concerned about for Michigan, and that's Braylon Edwards. More than any two other Michigan players combined, he has the ability to change the course of a game (witness the Michigan State fiasco). If we keep him from making big plays (like we did in his other trip to The Shoe), we can severely limit Michigan's offense.

The other main key is to shut down Hart as we did Perry in 2002. I can flat out guarantee you that if we hold Hart to under 100 yards and keep Edwards from making big catches, we'll be in a position to pull the upset.

Well why the fuck couldn't the Irish do that to the Pitt receivers on Saturday - were they too small.

You win down in the land of nox and lose in South Bend.

ND needs a brain transplant - somewhere. It like watching a re-run of the 3 Faces of Eve. Get of one mind!

i say to beat scum we need to come out BOMBING the ball at least once in the first series.... perferable the 1st play... then from there do a little running attack!

Need to blitz and blitz often. Mix up the secondary with zones and Man but always play double on edwards (play a man/zone on him on with him and one always over top so the big play can not happen)

I think its going to come down to to's and OUR HOME CROWD!!!

If we can keep the exitment up(wont be hard) and keep it loud so they have trouble calling plays and the snap count, their freshman qb will make mistakes!
