Hugh Freeze (HC Auburn)

Michael Oher likes Hugh Freeze...

Or is it, Hugh Freeze likes Michael Oher?

I believe southcampus is referring to the fact that Hugh Freeze went from Oher's high school coach (albeit, a good one) to assistant athletic director for football external affairs for Ole Miss a couple weeks after Michael Oher committed there.

I've seen no credible evidence that Hugh Freeze is anything but an honest and forthright coach. This kind of talk has no place in discussions of young men who are simply looking for the best place to play college football.

"Hugh Freeze"...sounds like someone out of that shitty Batman movie with the nipples.

He also did a fine job at Arky State before coming to Ole Miss. Seems to be a good one.

i suggest you actually look at how and when freeze got his first gig at ole miss.

let's put it this way, nic siciliano was more qualified to be qb coach at osu than freeze was when he got hired at ole miss the first time. i'll let you figure out how he landed that gig.
LOL at the bolded (don't want to think too much about Coach Sic and his "work" with our QBs). But Freeze's continued excellent performance suggests to me that merit probably had a lot to do with his initial hiring at Ole Miss. I don't deny that sometimes an opportunity comes along that you just have to take advantage of ...

In any event, Freeze has proven himself to be a hell of a good coach, and slamming him just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. But proceed on with the SEC trash-talk-fest, since that's really what most members of this forum want to do here. :)

Seriously, if you're getting kids to go to Mississippi to play in front of the Klan and against LSU, Texas A&M, Saban's Stormtrooper Army, and whatever ink blot formations Gus Malzahn comes up with every year, you're either:

a) Kidknapping the granddaughters of all those 1950s beauty queens for use by the football team ala The House of Dolls

or

b) Handing out bags of cash
