It's a bonus for me because I can't stand Mike Tice, and dislike the Vikings as a whole. So seeing the most unlikely of events (the Cardinals playing well in the waning moments of what for them was a game that was just going to cost them the 1st overall draft pick with a win) cost Minnesota, I was ecstatic. I admit to being partial to the Packers and Favre anyway, so it was a double payoff. That today's game was so exciting was all gravy. Now I just want the Pack to go into Philly and spank'em. The Panthers are the ones I think Green Bay should sweat.

By the way, was I the only one who started singing "No Woman No Cry?" when they were interviewing Harris after the game? The Packers have 3 or 4 guys who could hold their own in a Bob Marley lookalike contest.

--edit--
Purely for the sake of testing yet another function, I'm moving this over (with a redirect) to the Pro Football forum. Not a case of overzealous moderation (I don't have any interest in moderating anything here - we've got people to do that), I just care about function with the new software.

Yea, and every one of them look like they have the
potential to shoot the sheriff. But back to football, I
think you're right about GB over Philly, but only because
they lost Westbrook and their MLB (can't think of his
name). And I just can't see Caro. beating the Rams.
Speaking of beatings, what Indy did the Denver should
be considered a felony.

lol, no kidding. What's funny about that, is Peyton Manning carried me to the championship game in my ESPN FFL league. Then, in the final matchup (which is divided over 2 weeks), Peyton was effectively worthless from a fantasy perspective. He did nothing in 2 straight games. Now he blows up again, after the fantasy season has ended. THANKS PEYTON!

Happily, my RBs were Jamal Lewis, Fred Taylor and Kevin Barlow. I won, but by a slim margin. I'd have been pissed had I lost. That team was 12-1-0 on the season, and dominated statistically.

Today's game between SEA and GB was a tough one, it's one of those games where you've got to feel bad for the team that loses. Too close for anyone not to have been sweating in the end there.

CAR's D is impressive, and the Rams have been bipolar this year. Should be an interesting game. I'd think the Rams will be favored, but I'll pick Carolina with the upset. To be honest, I'd rather GB face StL than Car.

Still trying to fiure out how to quote things. Oh well

I am not sold on Bulger. I think Carolina's defense could give him fits. They won't score a lot of points on the Rams defense in the dome. I certainly hope Carolina pulls the upset.

In Brett Favre's heart I bet he prefers going to Philly over Carolina. He has never done well in dome stadiums and I actually think they have a better chance there than they would in St. Louis. I still look for a Philly/St. Louis championship game but both division matchups should be competitive.

Here's my upset special of the playoffs. The Titans beat the Patriots in New England. I know my hatred for the Patriots may be clouding my judgement but try living in Massachusetts having to put up with those "people".

Depends on what you're using to respond with. For me, clicking on the reply link within someone's post pulls up a "Reply to Topic" window where that post is already quoted. I believe if I hit the Quick Reply icon just to the right of Reply (still in the post) then that doesn't happen, but there's a little button down there where you can.

All of that just speaks to automatic quoting. The other thing you can always do is just paste in what you want to quote, and put {QUOTE} {/QUOTE} around that text. (Where {} {/} is actually [] [/]). You can get fancy and do something like {QUOTE=BuckNutty}text{/QUOTE} which is what it plugged in for me within this reply.

It sounds more complicated than it is. Finally, depending on which text editor you're using (standard or WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get)) there should be a little cartoon looking dialog bubble on the bottom right of the function buttons (bold, italics, underline, left, center, right, etc. etc. quote). That will also do the trick for you.

The posting windows now look more like a small MS Word box than anything else. And the functionality is largely the same.

Nutty, I find NE vile as well. I'm not sure why, I just do. So your upset scenario works for me.

I'm calling for a Packers/Titans bowl. I think the Pack is on one of those streaks where things just go their way and they can do little wrong. As far as the AFC, I'm just hoping it's not NE. Colts/Titans would be a good game.

Clarity, thanks for the quoting tip. I think I've got it. I'm probably too stupid to use the majority of the features on this board. Oh well.

The Titans played NE tough earlier this year in their house. Tennessee is physical and that's what it will take to beat the Patriots. Neither KC or Indy can go up there and beat them so it looks like the Titans are our only hope in keeping them out of the Super Bowl.

I really do like the Colts(Doss may have something to do with). KC can't play defense but they are tough at home. It should be a shootout. I'd love to see a Indy/Titans matchup. That's what I'm rooting for.

What I'd like to see...

Indy/Titans
GB/Carolina

GB/Titans

GB

I can't think of anything short of death that could keep
me from watching an Indy-KC shootout. Didn't NE beat
Tenn. earlier in the year, something like 38-30? In
Tenn.? I don't dislike the Pats. I just can't figure them
out. Talent wise, they have an 8-8 team. I think they will
beat Tenn. tho. The Titans just played their Super Bowl
against Balt.. Had the Ravens had a QB, they would have
won.
Does so disliking the NE attitude make you a Yankees
fan? Just curious.

I'm biased but I think the Packers will make it the Superbowl. They will stumble if they have to go through St. Louis. If there is anything I've learned while living here is that you NEVER count out Bret Favre.

I was at the last two games at Lambeau. The win vs Denver was huge but the crowd EXPLODED when they learned Poole caught that TD against the Vikqueens. Simply unreal. In Fact Poole was here this weekend as a special guest of the Mayor of Green Bay. They attended the game and toured the city. He was even given the key to the city. I can attend football games the rest of my life and I will never see 3 plays in row like I did at that game. First was a goal line stand on 4th and goal, next play was the Green 98 yard TD, next was the fumbled kick off recovered by Green Bay in the End Zone for another TD.

The win vs the Seahawks was amazing as well. The place errupted when Harris made the INT. Harris has been huge all year.... the best pick up by the Pack in the off season.

I could see a Packers/Titans Superbowl this year. I look at every game this weekend and not one is a sure win for anyone.

I totally agree. Should be a great weekend of football.

Going with my head and not my heart I think the title games will be St. Louis @ Philly and KC @ NE but I wouldn't be shocked to see GB @ Carolina and Tennessee @ Indy. Parity ain't all bad, IMO.

So much for a Packers/Titans Superbowl! If Mike Sherman had any balls the Packers would have run out the clock in Philly and be on their way to the NFC Championship game. The defensive play call was horrible. How do you let McNabb run all over you? Favre had the inexcusable INT in overtime but he has been doing that type of throw he whole career...... live by Favre, die by Favre.

I'm trying for the all time Buckeye Planet bumping record here, i.e. bumping a 13 year and 5 day old thread......

Just in case somebody does not know what Bob Marley looked like:
