1) tried to name wife's dog Woodie

I was born in December 1974 ... If my father had gotten his way, I would have been named "Archie Cornelius," (true story) but my mother put her foot down and went with both of my grandfathers' names, so it became "Richard Thomas."

You weren't even able to TELL her? You opened your mouth to talk, but no words came out? I don't get it. Did you puke all over her, or something? I'd understand if you TOLD her your plans, but she shot you down, but you couldn't even TELL her.. weird.

I guess I sort of consider myself an ambassador for the Buckeyes. By that, I mean that I have lived in six different States and spent a total of 5 years on foreign soil over the past 18 years....and have always left my scarlet and grey mark. Anybody that has come in contact with me for more than a brief conversation knows my passion for the Bucks.

I think your Dad got snookered, since your Mom was a big fan of "The Waltons." :wink2:

LOL. Actually, if that were the case mom would have been perfectly fine with Archie ... as well as 'Meathead' or Fred Sanford. :tongue2:

EDIT: Regarding TV names, my girlfriend's son is named John Joseph, so he's always been called 'JJ.' My girlfriend is 25, so she has never heard of Goodtimes.

It didn't take me two weeks to teach her son how to stomp his foot, clap his hands, and say, "Dy-no-mite!"
