What a game! I remember up in C deck there was an eerie quiet after Michigan scored the first touchdown of the game, and people kept sitting back down in between plays. Needless to say, by the second quarter, nobody's butt touched the bleachers again.
I was actually surprised at how well the Mich fans in the stands were treated (and i even spent a quarter sitting with my brother in the south stands). There weren't any fights started, no personal attacks.. but there was some actual football discussion during tv time outs about the game. I was really surprised.

I also loved how much their band got booed every time they played that godawful song :scum3:

At certain points in the Game (especially noticable later, as the sun went down) the camera flashes going off around the stadium reminded you of what a special thing we were witnessing...not that we needed a specific "reminder", but it helped keep the historic perspective fresh in our minds, and it brought a smile to my face (even in the midst of a 'war' going on down on the field).

It reminded me of the kickoff t.v. shots that the Super Bowls are so famous for.

And yes "Across the field", Script Ohio, and that half time show provided incredible "proof" positive that tbdbitl is just that. How proud they always make me feel to be a Buckeye!

I thought the camera flashes were awesome.. every offensive play there were hundreds of them going off.
and that was the coolest halftime show i've ever seen in my life! TBDBITL earned their name last night.

I also liked how as I was walking back to my brother's apartment on 12th after the game, everyone I passed on high street wanted to touch the piece of the field i was carrying with me

The stands being completely full 45 minutes untill kickoff. The crowd when Troy was introduced. Beanie Wells' run everyone in the stadium was jumping up and down! Not being able to hear M*ch*gans band over all the booing. Pittman picking up the first down with 25 seconds left and seeing the whole team charge the field.

My most memorable moment was definetly attempting to get off the field, and seeing the Michigan band still sitting there, looking like they wanted to die. We were all singing the "We dont give a damn song" the looks on their faces were priceless. The pic is a bit blurry but here it is

This is hilarious. Some of these same guys were in the shots last year. They'll soon be adding anti-depressants to their diet! :slappy:

 Good pic! I read somewhere that they couldn't leave for 55 minutes after the game because there were so many fans that stuck around and they couldn't move.

I don't think that anyone has posted a pic of this yet. I only wish I would have thought to go back after the guy had finished it.

My brother and I showed up on campus nearly 9 hours before kick-off. Campus was already alive. We tried to get some kick-ass spots on GameDay, but it was already pretty crowded. Our dad had gotten us tickets to some fancy brunch with fancy people. Free food is pretty sweet. And we saw Archie Griffin and got his autograph. Then, we walked over to Lane Avenue, which they had closed down for the day. It was PACKED with people. We got to the stadium an hour before the game, and we couldn't find a gameday program available anywhere. Some fuck-sticks were buying 5+ programs and they sold out pretty quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those people didn't even go to the game. Whatever. Anyway, we got to our seats with at least 45 minutes to go, and the stadium was mostly full, already. Block-O started the O-H-I-O cheer, and it was as loud then as it ever is during a normal game. Then the Michigan marching band took the field. Most of the time, we couldn't hear them, thanks to the boo-ing. But up in C-deck, a few notes come out and we can tell what song they're playing. They form that stupid Block-M formation, and play their stupid fight song. Then they march down the field the one way, still playing their fight song. Then they turn around and march the other way, still playing their fight song. Then they march with their high, pausing steps, which looks even stupider than I could ever explain. Then they keep marching in their formation with the same song playing. My brother asked if they know any other formations or songs. I doubted that they did. Then Ohio State's marching band took the field. I was hoping for some script-Ohio at halftime. But they did it before the game. Then, of course, The Game. I was down in a gutter each time Michigan scored, and flying high each time Ohio State scored. My voice was nearly gone by halftime. Then, of course the kick-ass halftime show by TBDBITL. Michigan's halftime show wasn't spectacular. At least they learned some new songs and new formations, though. So then the Buckeyes won. When Pittman got that first down, we knew it was over. But since I've watched that last play again, I don't think he needed to get the first down. But whatever. The Buckeyes stormed the field. The fans stormed the field. I love the way that the fans and the university have seemed to come to an agreement: we'll storm the field, but we won't touch the goalposts. They played Carmen Ohio for the team. 20 minutes later, we were still in the stands, along with 75% of the fans at the game. I don't understand how the field can be PACKED with people, and the stands also look packed. There doesn't appear to be any way that you could fit all the people on the field back into the stands. They played Carmen Ohio again. That's when we got up to leave. The Michigan marching band was stuck in their seats. I was thinking that the Ohio State marching band was also stuck in their seats. But then I decided that the Ohio State marching band doesn't mind nearly as much as the Michigan marching band would.

Easily the most incredible environment I've ever been a part of.

I considered myself lucky to go down and tailgate; I had freinds that pulled an RV on the lot across the street from Jesse Owens...early Friday morning.

I did make it to the Skull Session; and hearing Troy Smith say,"I came here a boy, but I'm leaving a man." was probably one of my favorite highlights.

Ain't it the truth?

I sure would like to have a peice of turf though...

Towards the very end of The Game, all the Stadium gates were opened and fans from outside were allowed to "storm the field" and celebrate as well. My brother and a couple of his friends did this and they said it was a 'flood of people' entering from outside.

I thought it was very cool for the University to allow that.
