Indians Tidbits (2010 season)

4-3 win over the motor city kitties. [censored] m*ch*g*n. :slappy:
sweep:biggrin2:

What's up with Marte :huh: I think he's making a case to be around next season which is very scary. I don't know what has come over him in the past week but he is almost looking like a third baseman and what about that bullpen. This could be the start of something big next year.

If they win today it would be a sweep

- J. Peralta hit an inside the park home run to deep center, J. Nix and C. Santana scored

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::slappy::slappy::slappy:

if you didn't see the play, the ball was to deep center, off the wall. the CF raced back and slammed into the wall, right at the bullpen door, which wasn't properly latched. he fell through the door, and couldn't get up. the lf wasn't backing up the play very well, so it took him forever to get the ball. even then, a good throw to home and it would have been close.

Gomez--where have these guys been:huh: Ambriz

July 18 9:15 AM PT10:15 AM MT11:15 AM CT12:15 PM ET4:15 PM GMT12:15 AM 北京时间9:15 AM MST11:15 AM EST-The Cleveland Indians have called up Gomez from Triple-A Columbus to make his major league debut in a start against the Detroit Tigers.

Analysis: Gomez, a 22-year-old right-hander from Venezuela, had a 6-8 record and 5.70 ERA in 18 starts for the Clippers this season. A year ago, he went 10-4 and pitched a perfect game for Akron in the Double-A Eastern League.

Apr. 30 1:03 PM PT2:03 PM MT3:03 PM CT4:03 PM ET8:03 PM GMT4:03 AM 北京时间1:03 PM MST3:03 PM EST-The Cleveland Indians activated right-hander Hector Ambriz from the 15-day disabled list Friday and optioned right-hander Joe Smith to Triple-A Columbus.

Analysis: Ambriz was selected from the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Rule 5 Draft in December. He had tendinitis in his right elbow during spring training and opened the season on the DL. The 25-year-old Ambriz made seven relief appearances on a rehab assignment at Columbus and compiled a 1.13 ERA in eight innings, walking only one and striking out 15.

Now we have everyone that we play at third base hitting home runs:lol:

I wonder what's going to happen when Cabrera and Choo come back. With all the young guys performing so well and with the emergence of Gomez and Am... . I have no idea who they are going send down because they already released Hernandez and Smith was sent back to Columbus. Maybe we should bring up the rest of Columbus and send Cleveland to Columbus.

The way he pitched today, he better get another shot.

Gomez has already been sent back down. Todd is being added to bullpen for at least the Twins series. Choo and Cabrera, baring a setback, will both be activated Friday, so two roster spots will need to be cleared by then. With the trade deadline coming expect a bunch of roster moves over the next couple weeks.

i've seen gomez start twice at huntington. both times he was slapped around by pedestrian AAA teams. his location was shoddy, and his stuff was mediocre. today was definitely an anomaly from him based on what i've seen so far. he also never got above 89 on the gun once in the 2 starts I saw.
